SIEMENS & HALSKE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT m WIEN.

Axle bush for bogies of railway vehicles and the like like

The essence of the present invention is that the back of the bearing shell on which the axle sleeve rests is wedge-shaped in such a way that the cutting edge of the wedge is approximately at right angles to the center line of the axle. As a result, the impacts acting across the track on the axle are divided into two side forces, one of which lifts the bogie frame. While the bogies used to sway through the full force of the impact, the latter is now used to a large extent to liven up the bogie frame, so the swaying is significantly dampened.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention.

The bearing shell b is seated on the axle journal a and is designed in a wedge shape such that the cutting edge of the wedge is at right angles to the center line of the axis. As can be seen from the drawing, the axle bushing and accordingly also the bogie frame do not completely follow the movement of the axle in its longitudinal direction, but are raised at the same time.

The like., characterized in that the back of the upper axle bearing shell, on which the axle bushing rests with a correspondingly shaped recess, is wedge-shaped such that the cutting edge of the wedge is at right angles to the center line of the axle journal and the journal is aligned with the bearing shell in the longitudinal direction can move in the axle sleeve, for the purpose of dampening the lurching movements of the bogie by lifting the axle sleeve when moving the bearing shell.
