  Aus Chinolin kann es in schönen   Nadeln erhalten   werden. Die Farbe der Lösung in Nitrobenzol, Anilin und Chinolin ist blau. 



     Das in analoger Weise mit@ Bromwasserstoffsäure erhaltene Produkt löst   sich in Schwefelsäure mit brauner, in Nitrobenzol, Anilin und Chinolin mit blauer Farbe.
