   Die in der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 131869 beschriebene, mit Aussparungen ver-   sehene   Spirale für Malzwender eignet sich vorzugsweise zum Wenden von Grünmalz. Um sie auch für die Bearbeitung von Gerste oder Darrmalz geeignet zu machen, wobei eine   Beschädigung   der Keime nicht in Betracht gezogen zu werden braucht, dagegen bei ungefähr gleich hoher Hubwirkung ein stärkeres Vorschieben und ein dadurch bewirktes   rascheres,   innigeres Vermischen wünschenswert ist, ist anstatt des T-förmigen Querschnittes für die Spirale ein Band mit rechteckigem Querschnitt gewählt, an welches senkrecht zu ihm Schaufeln angenietet sind, welche von der äusseren Peripherie der Spirale aus nach einwärts gebogen sind und daher gegenüber dem konzentrisch angeordneten,

   wagerechten Teil der bekannten T-förmigen Spirale einen grösseren Vorschub des Wendegutes bewirken.
