Description

Glass envelope body for incandescent lamps.
The previously known glass envelope bodies, which connect the cylinder and bell in one piece, had the disadvantage that the lower end of the bell cut off at the top of the cylinder, but the latter was only made as long as necessary to fix it in the cylinder holder of the lamp was.
Quite apart from the fact that no proper draft for the hot air could be created through this glass envelope, no better distribution of the light was achieved through the transition of the cylinder into the bell shape in straight planes.
The subject matter of the present invention now forms a glass envelope body for incandescent lamps, which completely eliminates the disadvantages just mentioned. In the drawing it is shown in section. a denotes the lower cylindrical part, which is stuck in the ordinary cylinder holder of the lamp. It is so long that it creates a good pulling effect for the hot air. The upper end of the cylinder a then merges into the downward overhang b, which forms the bottom of the bell c at its lowest point.
By arranging the multiple glass wall at the point of the overhang, a better reflection of the light rays is achieved, which is all the more effective if the upper part of the bell c is matted.
