<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

5 a zusammengesetzt.

Connection fitting for flexible high pressure hoses with reinforcement inserts
The previous method of fastening the connection fittings to high-pressure hoses has not yet proven to be satisfactory for all areas of application. Especially for the hydraulic power transmission between two or more machines, in which the individual machines are not stationary but are arranged to be movable to one another, the connection between
Fitting and hose with a relatively early leakage of the connection points and furthermore, due to the cutting into the flexible hose sections, cracks etc. are to be expected.
In the previous connection fittings, the high-pressure schiducll was often pressed in between the fastening stub of the connection nipple and the hose socket, with annular ribs or annular grooves of the fixing socket and the hose socket in the outer and inner wall of the hose, i.e. H. pressed into their outermost and innermost rubber, plastic or caoutchouc layers. In the case of high-pressure hoses with reinforcement inserts, it has also been proposed to clamp the latter between the hose wall and a fastening stub of the connection nipple that engages in the hose and a hose socket surrounding the hose. The hose holder had a bore that was offset to at least two different diameters and the end of the hose clamped into the socket was offset to a corresponding diameter.
One bore part of the socket gripped the reinforcement insert, while another attacked the circumferential surface of the high-pressure hose, and the gripping parts were thread-like and of different design. Such designs were also unsatisfactory for hose lines that are exposed to very high pressure conditions, because on the one hand the strength of the connection proved to be insufficient, while on the other hand the operational reliability and the service life were too short.
The subject matter of the present invention is a fitting for flexible high-pressure hoses with reinforcing inserts, by means of which the aforementioned disadvantages inherent in the known designs are eliminated. This can only be achieved if the two main parts of a connection fitting, namely the socket and the connection nipple, are mutually connected and interacting with the high-pressure hose according to special aspects.
The connection fitting according to the invention is characterized in that the nipple, which is inserted into the socket and seals the front insertion side by means of its conical fitting surface on the head piece, has a cylindrical thread on the middle part with the corresponding thread of the socket and at the same time with the exposed reinforcement insert and furthermore by means of a subsequent conical, sharp-edged thread with the front inner hose part, which is tapered by the clamping pressure, and then by means of its cylindrical end part with extensive helical ribbing is additionally screwed to the inner hose part, while one that is offset to the outside with respect to the thread.
Sharp-edged thread of the socket sleeve extending over the two adjoining threads of the nipple is threaded into the reinforcement insert on the outside, the socket socket thread being followed by a round thread which is offset to the outside and which grips the outer tube part along its entire length and that furthermore the mouth end of the Nipple merges into an edge bead, which outside of the rounded mouth end of the Fassungsb. ü1se lies.
The hose end is expediently stripped both on the inside and on the outside except for the reinforcement insert, the length of the liner stripping about one third and the length of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Outer jacket is about half the length of the hose part reaching into the hose socket.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown in an axial partial section.
According to the drawn A embodiment example, 1 denotes a socket which has a bore that is offset to different diameters that are stepped from one another. This socket has a cylindrical guide part 11 and adjoining this a part 12 provided with an internal thread. At the end of the socket, the socket is rounded to allow the hose to be bent without causing a kinking effect. The internal thread 12 is followed by a part 13 with a larger internal diameter, which also has an internal thread.
Towards the end of the mouth, the socket sleeve is set off again to a somewhat larger inner diameter than the part 13 and, furthermore, it is provided here with helically extending inner ribs 6.
In the interior of the socket 1, a connection nipple 2 is shown in the position that
EMI2.1
Socket sleeve 1 cooperates. This is followed by a cylindrical threaded part 15, which cooperates with the internal thread 12 of the socket 1, and adjoining this a conical threaded part 16. The hose-side, cylindrical end of the connection nipple has helically arranged ribs 8.
The cylindrical part of the connection nipple 2 is widened conically at its hose-side end to the edge bead 9, as can be seen from the cut nipple part. Instead of screw 1-in-1. ger ribs 8 could also be provided that run in a ring.
The end of a high pressure hose 5 is clamped between the socket 1 and the connection nipple 2. This hose consists of an inner hose 5 c, a reinforcing insert 5 b and an outer hose. 5 a composed. The two hose parts 5 a, 5 c are preferably made of plastic. The reinforcement insert can consist of steel wire or steel mesh. The hose is stripped to a length 17 on the inside (about 1/3 of the hose part protruding into the hose socket) and on the outside about half of the hose part protruding into the hose socket. The reinforcement insert 5 b therefore protrudes at the hose end to be connected beyond the hose jackets 5 a, 5 c of the high pressure hose 5.
The exposed reinforcement insert 5 b is now between the internal thread 13 of the company.
EMI2.2
on the other hand, the ends of the hose sheaths 5 c, 5 a between the inner ribs. 6 of the socket 1 and the outer ribs 8 and the conical thread 16 of the connection nipple 2 firmly clamped.
The described design of the connection fitting achieves an extremely reliable fastening of the hose end that withstands all pressures for which the hose is dimensioned. The bead 9 of the mouth end of the connection nipple 2 and the conical thread part 16 very effectively prevent small quantities of the medium conveyed through the hose 5 from being forced through between the hose inner wall and the connection nipple 2. The conical pressing surface 14 of the nipple 2, which seals the end of the socket sleeve 1 facing the latter, serves to further protect against leakage.
