Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Vollautomatische Lichtbogenschweisseinrichtung

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  Fully automatic arc welding device
The subject of the invention is a fully automatic arc welding device in which the holding device with welding wire guide mechanically connected to the welding head has a tubular welding nozzle, through the bore of which the welding wire required for the welding process is fed and the welding nozzle tip executes a circular movement during the welding process , wherein according to the invention the welding nozzle is mounted in the holding device by means of self-aligning roller bearings and is arranged to be pivotable about the upper self-aligning bearing axis point.

   The radius of the circle described by the welding nozzle tip can easily be adjusted with the aid of an eccentric disk or a similar device after loosening and retightening a set screw while maintaining the same length of the welding nozzle. The welding nozzle is also exchangeable and can be selected to be of different lengths as required, which provides a second possibility for changing the radius of the circular movement carried out by the welding nozzle tip.

   The embodiment of the fully automatic arc welding device according to the invention is used in particular for welding holes or cylindrical cavities and for annular build-up welding. When welding bores or holes, it proves to be useful and necessary, if the bore depth is the same as the wall thickness of the workpiece, to use a correspondingly large base made of refractory material in order to prevent the liquid weld metal from being lost. Bare wire or mesh sheathed wire can be used as the weld material, with the use of bare wire the welding as pure bare wire welding or also using a protective gas, e.g. B. CO2, argon, etc., or a flux of known composition can be done.

   The welding process, i.e. the ignition of the arc, is initiated in one of the known ways.

   The welding of holes or cylindrical or prismatic cavities has usually been done manually or semi-automatically, autogenously or electrically. However, a fully automatic arc welding device has also become known in which the welding nozzle tip performs a circular movement during the actual welding process. In this construction, an eccentric mouthpiece is attached, in particular screwed, to a central guide tube for the welding wire that is driven in rotation by a drive device. As a result, the already mentioned circular movement of the nozzle tip is achieved, but the radius of the circle of movement can only be changed within a very small range after the mouthpiece has been replaced.

   The actual guidance of the welding wire through the attached mouthpiece is very poor, and during the welding process the wire performs not only a translatory but also a rotating movement. There is therefore a strong mechanical stress on the welding wire and a high level of wear and tear on that part of the mouthpiece which is used to directly guide the welding wire.

   The present invention eliminates the foregoing. Disadvantages, since in addition to good guidance of the welding wire, the mechanical stress on the wire and the corresponding guide surfaces is significantly reduced by eliminating the rotational movement of the wire. This makes it possible to use welding wires with a larger diameter. Furthermore, in the case of the arc welding device according to the invention, the welding circle radius is within relatively wide limits by appropriate selection of the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   Welding nozzle length can be changed without difficulty. The power supply via the welding nozzle directly to the welding wire ensures perfect and pure contact.

   The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing.

   The holding device 9 has a carrier 10 fixedly connected to it, in which the welding nozzle construction consisting of several individual parts is inserted, for example by means of a screw connection. The welding nozzle 1 is driven by a gear transmission 6, 17. The drive shaft 7, which is supported by roller bearings, can in turn be driven by the controlled feed rollers 8 for the welding wire feed, as shown in the accompanying drawing, or via its own separate drive device. The control of the rollers 8 takes place in one of the known embodiments.

   The welding nozzle construction consists of the fixed part 15, which for structural reasons can be made in several parts, the tubular welding nozzle 1 moving on a conical surface, the rotating gear 6 with a hole for screw 5 with bearing ring 4 and seal 11, the eccentric 3 with elongated hole 18 as well as from the roller bearing 14 or self-aligning roller bearing 12 and 13 necessary for the function of the device.

   The welding nozzle 1 can be pivoted about point S, the setting of the circle formed by the nozzle end is carried out by moving the eccentric 3, the center line of the screw 16 representing the axis of rotation of the eccentric and, with the screw axis 5 also in a fixed position, the eccentric 3 by loosening and later fixing of the screw 5 in the area of its elongated hole 18 can be adjusted. This adjustability of the eccentric results in the eccentricity E and, depending on the length of the actual tubular welding nozzle 1, a corresponding welding radius. Power is supplied to the welding electrode via the welding nozzle 1 with the power connection piece 2.

   The welding nozzle 1 is advantageously designed in such a way that it can be exchanged itself or in connection with the self-aligning roller bearings 12 and 13 or only in connection with a self-aligning roller bearing. Furthermore, the welding nozzle can be equipped with insertable or screw-in inserts of different lengths or for different welding wire diameters. Due to the different lengths of the inserts, there is another possibility to change the welding circle.
