Umbrella handle, especially for shortened umbrellas
The invention relates to an umbrella handle, in particular for shortened umbrellas, in which the correspondingly shaped handle body made of plastic is plugged onto the stick end (stick tube end) and secured against being pulled off by a preferably two-legged locking spring housed in the stick tube The end of the grip body, pressed on the umbrella side and perforated for the passage of the stick end, engages with its inner edge in an incision provided on the locking nose of one leg of the locking spring.
The invention now makes it its task to make the holder of the handle on the stick as stable as possible using the simplest structural measures, for which purpose the invention provides that the handle body bore apart from the recess for receiving the locking lug of the lock "spring" nor at least one for Metal cap has an open recess for receiving an elastic pressure piece acting from the outside against the StQCkrohrendtei1, which the latter is held and secured by the metal cap in the recess.
In the following description, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing showing an exemplary embodiment in longitudinal section.
According to the drawing, the handle body 1 made of plastic is plugged onto the handle-side end of the pole tube 3 by means of its bore 2. To fix the handle on the stick, a preferably two-leg locking spring 4 is housed inside the stick, one leg 4a of which carries a locking lug 5, in the incision 5a of which the inner edge of a metal connection cap 6 pressed onto the handle body 1 engages, thereby providing the necessary security of the handle body is reached against being pulled off.
The inner part 5b of the locking nose engages in a recess 7 of the handle body lbzw. the bore 2 of the same, whereby the necessary security against rotation is also obtained. The external specimen part 5c serves as an actuating element (push button) for releasing the lock.
The handle body bore 2 also has a recess 8 covered by the end cap 6, in which an elastic pressure body 9, preferably made of rubber or the like, is mounted, which is held and secured in the recess by the end cap 6. The elastic pressure body 9 acts with a corresponding pressure against the outside of the stick tube 3, whereby the entire handle attachment is given a pretension, by which a stable, tight fit on the stick tube is ensured.
To attach the carrying loop of the umbrella, a bolt 11 is inserted into the small bore 10 of the handle body, the head 12 of which is supported against the base 2a of the bore 2. The bolt 11 has a transverse bore M; which is penetrated by the ring (not shown) connected to the wrist strap.
