Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Fig. 2 dargestellt, befindet.

Blatt gewebt werden will.

Installation on a loom with lockable, loose leaf
The invention relates to a device on a loom with a lockable, loose reed, whose mounting strip is positively locked at the moment of beating up an inserted weft thread by pivotable reed holding levers which are rigidly connected to one another and to at least one actuating arm which, during the beating of the weft thread engages with a support member.

In a loom of this type, as is known, the not yet locked reed can swing backwards and push back the reed holding levers if the shuttle is stuck in the shed and the reed moves against the shuttle. In this way, tearing of the warp threads and damage to the reed when hitting the sash if the shooter runs incorrectly is prevented.

The device according to the invention is essentially characterized in that the support member, which can be moved in the direction of the stop movement of the sley against the force of a return spring, has a cam protruding into the path of movement of the actuating arm of the sheet holding lever, which in the last part of the stop movement of the sley frictionally entrains the support member caused by the actuating arm, and that an adjustable stop is provided against which the support member is braced under the influence of the return spring.

This training has several advantages. On the one hand, the sliding friction between the support member and the actuating arm of the blade holding lever is very substantially reduced by the movable arrangement of the support member, so that the wear of the two parts mentioned is practically completely eliminated. In addition, through appropriate arrangement and storage of the support member, the latter presses the actuating lever to an increasing extent when it is carried along by the actuating lever, so that the reed is completely held at the moment of beating.

Secondly, the adjustable stop, against which the support member rests in its rest position, enables the point in time at which the actuating arm begins to interact with the support member before the reed is hanged. The reed can thus be determined either earlier or later. The usefulness of this adjustability can be seen from the following considerations:
In the case of fabrics of different weights, the stress on the reed is different not only when the reed is actually folded, but also immediately before this point in time, depending on the type of fabric.

In the case of a heavy, dense tissue, already a few millimeters or even centimeters before the front dead position (i.e. the blade stop), such strong forces act on the blade that it could be ejected from its holding device. In order to avoid this, the device for securing the loose reed must become effective before the reed stop. The adjustable stop makes it possible to change the point in time at which the retaining device takes effect within considerable limits. One could now imagine that the support member is set for all types of fabric in such a way that the reed is fixed at a point in time that is sufficiently early for all cases before the reed beating, i.e. H. is locked.

However, this would have the disadvantage that the reed would be locked unnecessarily early in the case of lighter fabrics, but this is to be avoided so that the reed is loose as long as possible and can be ejected in the event of any disturbances in the shuttle run.

In the subject matter of German Patent No. 809654, the support member is not arranged to be movable at all. An adjustment of the support member is possible, but with every blade stop the same

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

tend friction between the support member and the actuating arm of the blade holding lever. In the subject of the US Pat. No. 2, 111, 083, the support member which cooperates with the actuating arm of the blade holding lever when the blade stops is movable, but not in the direction of the sley movement when the blade stops, but in an approximately vertical direction. There is therefore sliding friction between the support member and the actuating arm at each sheet stop. An adjustment of the support member to change the point in time of the blade locking is not provided.

The same patent also shows means for locking the reed in the vicinity of the rear dead position of the sley. For this purpose, a further actuating arm connected to the sheet holding levers and an associated support member are provided. In contrast to the invention, the latter is movable against the beating movement of the sley against the force of a spring; Furthermore, again in contrast to the invention, the rest position of the support member is not given by an adjustable, but by a fixed stop.

Thus, the task, mode of operation and training are different from the subject matter of the invention.

Further features of the invention emerge from the description with reference to the drawing, in which
 EMI2.1
shows a schematic representation of essential parts of a loom and the sequence of movements of the sley, the. 2, 3 and 4 show, each in a different phase of movement, a first embodiment of the device according to the invention, partly in vertical section and partly in side view.

Fig. 5 is a representation of the device analogous to Figs. 2-4 at the moment of ejection of the reed by a shooter stuck in the shed; Fig. 6 shows a second embodiment of the device partly in side view and partly in vertical section , FIG. 7 shows a third exemplary embodiment in an analogous representation, and FIG. 8 illustrates a detail of the same exemplary embodiment, also partly in side view and partly in vertical section.

In order to facilitate understanding of the various exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, some essential parts of a loom are shown in FIG. The sley has a shop web 10 and a reed 11, between the teeth of which the warp threads 12 and 13 of the fabric 14 to be produced, which runs over the breast beam 15, are passed. The shop track is attached to two shop supports 16, only one of which is visible in FIG. 1. The shop supports are pivotably mounted at their lower end with the aid of pivot pins 17 on the machine frame, not shown. By means of a push arm 18, each of the shop supports 16 is connected to a crank 19 which is driven by a shaft 20.

When the shaft 20 rotates with the crank 19, the drawer 10, 11 receives a reciprocating movement via the push arm 18. The back dead center position A of the sley is shown with full lines, while the front dead center position B is shown with dashed lines, in which the previously drawn-in weft thread is struck by means of the reed 11. An intermediate position C is also illustrated with dashed lines, in which, when the drawer moves forward according to the arrow D, i. H. Moved to the left in Fig. 1, the hedgehog (not shown) must have left the shed in order not to impair the movement of the sley or to prevent the warp from being endangered.

In FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 the first exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is illustrated corresponding to the positions A, B and C (FIG. 1) of the sley. The store web 10, the reed 11, the chain feet 12 and 13 and the fabric 14 are designated the same as in Fig. 1. The store web 10, which is made of wood, for example, is supported by a metallic profile rail 21 which is attached to the in Fig. 2- 4 not shown shop stilts is attached. A further metallic profile rail 22, which forms the shop lid, is also arranged on the shop stilts in a manner not shown.

The reed 11 has an upper mounting strip 23, which engages in a groove in the shop lid 22, as well as a lower mounting strip 24, which rests on the profile rail 21 and faces the front, i. H. on the left in Fig. 2-4, on the rear side of the store track 10 and is held in this position by a pressure strip 25 running along the mounting strip 24. The latter is attached to a few sheet holding levers 26, only one of which is visible in FIGS. 2-4, and which are connected to one another by the bar 25. The bar 25 extends over the entire width of the reed 11. The number of reed holding levers 26 can be as desired, depending on the loom width. As a rule, three levers 26 on a one meter sheet width will suffice.

All of the sheet holding levers 26 sit on a hollow shaft 27 which is rotatably supported by means of bearings (not shown) which are fastened to the profile rail 21. The shaft 27 is common to all sheet holding levers 26 and also carries at least one rigid actuating arm 28 on which a roller 29 is rotatably mounted. The end of the actuating arm 28 facing away from the shaft 27 is connected to one end of a helical tension spring 30, the other end of which is at a fixed point 31 of the merely shear

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

matically indicated loom frame 32 is anchored. The spring 30 has the effect that the pressure strip 25 is always pressed against the lower mounting strip 24 of the reed 11 by means of the reed holding lever 26 and the reed is thus held in its operating position.

The fixed point 31 is chosen such that the
The tension of the spring 30 is at a maximum when the drawer is in the rear dead center position A, as in FIG
Fig. 2 is shown. In the front dead center position B of the drawer, as shown in Fig. 3, the
Spring 30 has a lower tension. A minimum of the tension of the spring 30 occurs, however, when the drawer passes through the position C, as shown in FIG.

Several actuating arms 28 can be provided, each of which is then appropriately assigned a spring 30. As a rule, two actuating arms 28 are sufficient, which are arranged in the vicinity of the side shields of the loom frame.

Each of the existing operating arms 28 is assigned a support member 35 which is supported by an on
Steel frame 32 is formed with a horizontal pivot pin 36 pivotably mounted lever.

The upper end of the support member 35 is movable in the direction of the stop movement of the sley, u. zw. Against the influence of a return spring 37, which acts on one end of the lower end of the lever 35 and is anchored to the loom frame 32 on the other end. To fix the rest position of the support member 35 there is a stop formed by a screw 38 which can be adjusted by turning the screw 38. In the rest position of the support member 35, the return spring 37 has a certain pre-tension, which can be changed by adjusting elements (not shown).

The upper end of the support member 35 has an extension 39 which projects into the path of movement which is traversed by the roller 29 of the associated actuating arm 28 when the drawer moves back and forth. The support member 35 is also arranged such that the roller 29 is on the upper surface of the
Support member runs up just before the drawer reaches its front dead center position B, as shown in FIG.

The function of the device described is as follows:
If the sley is in the rear dead center position A, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the tension of the spring 30 is greatest and the bar 25 is therefore pressed against the frame bar 24 of the reed 11 with maximum force. The reed 11 is therefore held securely in its operating position, even if it is subjected to considerable mass forces during the reversal of movement in the rear dead center position of the slack and due to friction on the slack during the subsequent forward movement of the slack
Chain threads 12 and 13 is braked. Even the shuttle 40 running through the open shed at this moment cannot push the sheet 11 back against the influence of the spring 30.

If, during the undisturbed weaving process, the drawer moves into the front dead position B for striking the drawn-in weft thread, then according to FIG. 3 the roller 29 runs onto the upper end surface of the support tube 35. In the last part of the movement of the shop, the roller 29 also moves against the extension 39, whereby the support member 35 is pivoted a little in a force-locking manner against the influence of the return spring 37 and is lifted off the stop screw 38. The actuating arm 28 is prevented from pivoting downward in the direction of arrow E in FIG. 3 by the support member 35. The level that the
Axes of the roller 29 and the shaft 27 is at least approximately at right angles to that
The plane passing through the axes of the roller 29 and the pivot pin 36.

This results in a complete locking of the reed holding levers 26 and the pressure bar 25. The reed 11 is therefore clamped at this point and can therefore beat the drawn-in weft thread correctly, even if it is a heavy fabric that requires a relatively large beating force .

Evasion of the bar 25 in the direction of arrow F to the rear is impossible. The reaction force of the
Stop pressure is from the actuating arm 28 on the support member 35 in at least approximately radial
Transfer direction with respect to the pivot axis 36 of the support member.

However, should the shuttle 40 get stuck in the shed for any reason, the shuttle seat 40 pushes the reed 11 to the rear when the sash passes through position C (FIG. 1), as is clearly illustrated in FIG. This is possible because at this point in time the roller 29 of the actuating arm 28 has not yet hit the upper end face of the support member 35 and because the
The tension of the spring 30 is relatively low. While the sheet 11 is being ejected to the rear, the rest of the drawer can still move forward unhindered until the loom is automatically switched off. When the roller 29 moves against the back of the support member 35, this is pivoted against the influence of the return spring 37.

From the above it can be seen that damage to the
Warp threads 12 and 13, the reed 11, the shuttle 40, the roller 29 and the support member 35 are practically excluded, even if the shuttle 40 is stuck in the shed. The web

member 235 engages and the other end is anchored to a sleeve 258, which is used to change the
Bias of the spring 237 with the help of an adjusting screw 259 in various rotational positions on the
Pin 236 can be clamped. The support member 235 is provided with a rigid extension 260 which is used to fix the rest position of the support member with one end of an adjustable threaded bolt
238 cooperates.

The threaded bolt 238 is in a corresponding threaded hole in the support arm
257 and can be secured in the set position using a lock nut 261.

8 shows that the tubular shaft 27 is supported in slotted bearings 265 which are fastened to the profile rail 221 of the drawer at a distance from one another. With the aid of a clamping screw 266, the two halves of each bearing can be pressed against one another and the bearing play between the bearing and the shaft 27 can thereby be adjusted. A lock nut 267 is used to secure the set position. If desired, however, it is also possible to clamp the shaft 27 non-rotatably in the bearings 265, if not with an ejectable, loose reed but with a fixed one
Leaf wants to be woven.

This special type of bearing design not only has the great advantage that the bearing can be used as a clamping device, but also makes it possible, as mentioned, to change the bearing play. Since around four bearings, which were drilled individually, are distributed over the ark in a loom one meter wide, there is a certain risk that the bearings are not exactly in line and therefore easily jam; Thanks to the bearing design shown, the individual bearings can be mutually adjusted to one another. An expensive production with a long drill that drills the bearings in alignment is avoided.
