<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

de has, through which the housing of the control element is connected to the valve housing.
This creates an easily exchangeable control element of simple construction combined with a sensor body, in which there is no need to lead out both a spindle moved by the outer sensor and a spindle or screw that can be actuated by an operating handle. The organs formed according to the invention, for. B. carrier, between the fixed and the movable end base for the transmission of the rotary movement ensure a long service life of the sensor body, which in the long term is probably resistant to tension and pressure, but not to rotation.
Since, according to the invention, the two threads have the same pitch, the effective length of the valve spindle changes to the same extent as the distance between the movable wall and the valve seat; H. the full stroke of the valve body remains unchanged.
In a special embodiment of the control element according to the invention, the sensor body is designed as a bellows, the fixed, essentially flat end wall of which is fastened in the housing of the control element and the movable end wall is bowl-shaped and forms a support surface for the spring, with the rotational movement being transmitted to the fixed end wall Carriers are arranged, the wipe each engage two outstanding pins on the sides of the bowl-shaped end base.
The sensor body in this embodiment can contain a very large amount of steam, and a correspondingly large stroke movement can be provided for the valve body.
In one embodiment of the control element according to the invention, the sensor body can be a diaphragm box, in which the movable end base is designed as a flexible membrane that forms a support surface for the spring, with elongated, longitudinally slotted parts being arranged on the side wall of the diaphragm box to transmit the twisting movement , in the slots engage drivers which are arranged on the socket firmly connected to the movable end base.
The control element is particularly suitable for attachment to a radiator valve with a pressure-relieved valve body, in which the valve spindle is made of a thin, poorly thermally conductive material, e.g. B. stainless steel, which has the advantage that only a small amount of heat can be transferred from the valve body, which does not affect the proper functioning of the control element.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a section through a corner valve with associated control element according to the invention, in which the sensor body is designed as a bellows. Fig. 2 shows an embodiment with a sensor body designed as a diaphragm box. FIG. 3 shows the diaphragm box of the valve shown in FIG. 2 in section, and FIG. 4 is a side view of the diaphragm box shown in FIG.
A control element with a cylindrical housing 2 is attached to a valve housing 1, in the side walls of which there are throughflow openings 3 for the outside air, so that it has free access to a sensor body which, in the element shown in FIG. 1, is designed as a bellows 4 and is fixed in the housing 2; the bellows has a movable, bowl-shaped end base 5, against the middle surface of which is drawn into the bellows 4 a spring 6 presses. The other end of the spring 6 rests against a fixed support on the valve housing and encloses a rod 7, the lower end of which is connected to a thin valve spindle 8 which carries a cylindrical, pressure-relieved valve body 9.
The rod 7 is screwed into a socket 10 on the end base 5 and can transmit the movements of the end base through the spindle 8 to the valve body 9, but is prevented from rotating about its axis because it has a part 15 which is square in cross section slides in a square guide that is firmly connected to the valve housing.
The thread with which the rod 7 is screwed into the socket 10 has the same pitch as a thread 11 with which the housing of the element is screwed onto the valve housing. The tension of the spring 6 and thus the steam pressure in the sensor body required to move the valve spindle is regulated by turning the housing 2 by hand. The torque is provided by the attached to the housing
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The end wall 14 of the sensor body is transferred to the end base 5 by means of drivers 13 which are arranged between pins 12 protruding from the end base. By rotating the housing 2, the rod 7 is moved up and down in the socket and the effective spindle length is changed in accordance with the mutual displacement of the valve housing and the sensor element.
The position of the valve body therefore does not change during the regulation. and the valve body can move freely between fully open and fully closed position with each regulator presetting.
With the inFig. The control element shown in FIG. 2, the sensor body is designed as a diaphragm box 16 with a movable end wall or membrane 17, on which the bushing 10 with the thread for the rod 7 is attached. The presetting takes place in the same way as in the embodiment according to FIG. 1; the torque is transmitted from the housing 2 through the elongated and slit side wall 19 of the diaphragm box to the drivers 18 attached to the bushing 10, which protrude through the slots in the side wall 19 (see FIGS. 3 and 4).
