  Transformator, insbesondere Spannungswandler

   Zur Abdeckung der sekundären Anschlussklemmen dient eine in Fig. 1 losgelöst von dem   Wandlerge-   häuse dargestellte Abdeckplatte 22, die in Fig. la im Schnitt gesondert in vergrössertem Massstab dargestellt ist. Die Abdeckplatte 22 besteht aus vorzugsweise durchsichtigem Isolierstoff und ist mit zweckmä- ssig ebenfalls aus Isolierstoff bestehenden Befestigungsschrauben 23, 24 versehen, mit denen sie an dem Unterteil 12 des Wandlergehäuses befestigt werden   kann ;

     u. zw. sind mindestens zwei von den sekundären Anschlussklemmen so ausgebildet, dass auf sie die mit entsprechenden Muttern versehenen Schrauben 23, 24 aufgeschraubt werden können. Dadurch, dass die Anschlussklemmen selbst gleichzeitig zur Befestigung der Abdeckplatte dienen, werden besondere am Unterteil 12 anzubringende Befestigungsmittel erspart.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Transformer, especially voltage converter
Voltage converters are already known, the active parts of which are accommodated in a housing composed of two parts with an insulating fluid or an insulating compound which becomes soft or liquid when heated. In most such constructions, the housing consists of a lower part made of sheet iron or sheet metal, on which an upper part made of the same material is placed. The low-voltage insulators for leading out the secondary connection lines are arranged in the lower part, and the high-voltage insulator (s) for introducing the high voltage are arranged in the upper part.

   Upper part and lower part are interposed with a sealing
 EMI1.1
 Although this type of connection saves one of the seals, it is cumbersome and makes assembling the converter more difficult.

   It is also already known to manufacture the upper part with the high-voltage insulator or insulators in one piece from porcelain. This avoids the one or two seals on one or two high-voltage insulators, but again requires a seal at the point of contact between the lower part and the upper part, as well as corresponding screw connections to press and hold the two housing parts together.

   In addition, a transformer is already known, the housing of which, filled with grains of magnesium oxide, is composed of two metal or insulating parts, which are connected to one another by gluing after the active parts and the filling of magnesium oxide grains have been introduced. The housing of this known transformer has special bushing insulators for the discharge of both the primary winding and the secondary winding. Finally, it is also already known to assemble the insulating body of dry measuring transducers, made in particular of ceramic material, from individual parts that are glued together.

   The invention relates to a transformer, in particular a voltage converter, with a housing made of insulating material, preferably of hardened cast resin, which consists of an upper part and a lower part for introducing the active parts, which are preferably assembled in a liquid-tight manner by gluing. According to the invention, at least two opposing side walls of the lower housing part are drawn in stepwise inwards over the entire length to adapt to the shape of the active parts and the connection terminals required on the voltage side are inserted in a liquid-tight manner in at least one of the drawn-in side walls.

   The transformer according to the invention is distinguished from the above-mentioned known constructions by a particularly simple construction of its housing and by small external dimensions. Further advantages result from the reduction in the required amount of insulating liquid achieved as a result of the space-saving structure and from the elimination of special bushing insulators for the low-voltage outlet. Finally, the manufacture and assembly of the transformer according to the invention is also extremely simple and not very time-consuming.

   A particularly advantageous embodiment for a transformer, in particular a voltage converter according to the invention, results when the connection terminals on the low-voltage side are also detachable

Attachment of a preferably transparent. Cover plate serve, through which the space created within the outer boundary of the lower housing part by pulling in the side walls for the
Terminals can be locked.

   Furthermore, it is advantageous if, in the case of only two side walls that are continuously drawn in in a stepped manner over the entire length, also the two. change mutually opposite side walls of the lower housing part are drawn inward near the ground, so that two niches that can optionally be used as carrying handles are created in which they are used to fasten the transformer or voltage converter to a support plate, a switching frame or the like Parts, e.g. B. screws can be accommodated. In this way, the fastening of the transformer or voltage converter on a support plate, a frame or the like is considerably simplified.

   The niches also further reduce the amount of isolating agent
Further features of the invention can be found in the exemplary embodiment described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a perspective illustration of an exemplary embodiment with detached individual parts, and FIG. 1 a shows a cross section through one of these individual parts on an enlarged scale. 2 and 3, two sections are shown through a detail.

   The embodiment shown in Fig. 1 represents, for example, a voltage converter. The containing the active parts of the voltage converter, with an insulating liquid, for. B. oil or Clophen, filled housing consists of the upper part 11 and the lower part 12, both of which are made of insulating material, e.g. B. are cast from curable casting resin, preferably an epoxy resin and are tightly connected to each other mechanically and liquid-tight by means of a suitable adhesive. The upper part 11 is made in one piece with the high-voltage insulators used to lead out the high voltage. The primary high-voltage connection bolts 13 and 14 are located on top of the two insulators.

   To monitor the insulating liquid level in the converter housing, the transparent or translucent
 EMI2.1

   The two mutually opposite side walls 17 and 18 of the lower housing part 12 are drawn inwards near the bottom to match the shape of the active converter parts. In one of these two drawn-in wall parts, the secondary connection terminals required on the low-voltage side are inserted. In Fig. 1, for example, three secondary connection terminals 19, 20 and 21 are shown. One of these can optionally also be a grounding clamp. However, it is also possible to accommodate the secondary connection terminals in the two opposing, drawn-in wall parts or the actual secondary connection terminals on one side and the grounding terminal on the other.

   A cover plate 22, shown detached from the converter housing in FIG. 1, serves to cover the secondary connection terminals and is shown in section in FIG. 1 a separately on an enlarged scale. The cover plate 22 is preferably made of transparent insulating material and is provided with fastening screws 23, 24, which are expediently also made of insulating material, with which it can be fastened to the lower part 12 of the converter housing;

     u. between at least two of the secondary connection terminals are designed so that the screws 23, 24 provided with corresponding nuts can be screwed onto them. The fact that the connection terminals themselves serve at the same time to fasten the cover plate means that special fastening means to be attached to the lower part 12 are saved.

   For the side closure of the space containing the secondary terminals, two made of elastic material, for. B. rubber, existing disc-shaped parts 25 and 26, which, as can be seen from Fig. 1, in two projecting parts 27 and 28 of the lower housing part 12 can be pushed. The part 26 is provided with an opening through which the secondary connection lines can be led out. If necessary, the part 25 can also have such an opening.

   The two opposing side walls of the lower housing part 12, which do not have connection terminals, are also drawn inwards near the floor, so that two niches are created; in FIG. 1 only one of these two niches, which is designated by 29, can be seen. These two niches create carrying handles with which the converter can be easily transported. As shown in Fig. 1, the bottom of the lower part of the housing can extend into the area of the niche and have a slot 31 there which is used to insert a screw bolt or the like, with which the converter is mounted on a support plate, a switch frame or the like. Like. Can be attached.

   In this way, these fastening means are also located within the outer boundary of the converter housing, whereby the space requirement of the converter is also reduced.

   For a better understanding, FIGS. 2 and 3 show the lower part 12 of the converter housing in two sections offset by 900. In Fig. 2 you can see the opposing, inwardly below

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 drawn walls 17 and 18 with a secondary connection terminal 20 in the wall 17 and a grounding terminal 20a in the wall 18. These connection terminals are inserted in a liquid-tight manner into corresponding openings in the lower housing part 12 by means of seals without the use of low-voltage isolators. One can also see in FIG. 2 the wall part which is drawn into the interior of the housing and forms the niche 30.

   In FIG. 3, the two niches 29 and 30 can be seen. The niche 30 with the slot 31 serving to fasten the transducer is designed as previously described with reference to FIG. The right half of FIG. 3 shows another example of how the niches can be designed and how the entire transducer can be fastened. In this embodiment, the bottom of the lower housing part is not pulled forward into the area of the niche; this has the advantage that the mold, in which the lower part 12 is cast from casting resin, has a simpler design. Used to attach the converter. then a metal plate 32 which forms the bottom of the niche 29 and has a fastening hole 33.

   To attach the metal plate 32 to the housing lower part 12, a metal part 34 provided with an internal thread is provided in each of the two corresponding corners of the lower part, which is cast or pressed in during the manufacture of the lower part 12. The metal plate 32 is fastened to the lower housing part 12 by means of two countersunk screws.
