 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 machine mixed intimately, poured into molds and compacted with a vibration shaker to a density of 2.1 g / cm3. The mixture is then left to set in the air for 14 days, then comminuted with demolition hammers and sieved.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Abrasion-resistant and pressure-resistant graphite agglomerate, in particular for use as an aggregate in the blast furnace oiler, characterized in that it consists of graphite with a grain size range of 0.01 to 100 mm, preferably 0.5 to 30 mm, and cement, the cement fraction 4 , 5-13% by weight.

Claims (1)

2. graphite agglomerate according to claim 1, characterized in that the particle size distribution curve of the graphite corresponds approximately to that of the Fuller curve. 3. 3. A method for producing a graphite agglomerate according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that appropriately selected graphite material is intimately mixed with an amount of cement which is within the range mentioned in claim 1 and the required amount of water, then to a density of 1.5 up to 2.5 g / cm3, preferably 1.8 to 2.2 g / cm3, then allowed to harden by air drying to a compressive strength of 50 to 200 kg / cm2, preferably 100 to 180 kg / cm3, and optionally subsequently to the desired grain size, e.g. B. larger than 30 mm, is crushed.
