<Desc/Clms Page number 1> Giftfreie Emails für Aluminium und andere Leichtmetalle sowie deren Legierungen Rezepte für Emails für Aluminium sind schon viele Jahre bekannt. So sind z. B. in der USA-Patentschrift Nr. 2, 467, 114 Grenzen für brauchbare Aluminiumfritten festgelegt worden, d. h. Fritten, die ein gut schmelzbares Email mit einer maximalen Brenntemperatur von 5600C liefern und die ausserdem eine angemessene Säurebeständigkeit haben. Diese Emails sind aber alle bleihältig, was erstens für die Benutzung an der Innenseite von Küchengeräten unzulässig ist und zweitens für diejenigen, die sie verarbeiten sollen, nachteilig ist. Es sind auch schon verschiedene Rezepte für bleifreie oder sogar ganz giftfreie Emails angegeben worden, z. B. in The International Enamelist 1 [1951], S. 6 - 10 und in der USA - Patentschrift Nr. 2,608, 490. In diesem Artikel bzw. letzterer Patentschrift wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung giftfreier Emails auf Grundlage von Aluminiumphosphat (SiO2-frei) beschrieben. Diese Emails haben jedoch, wie festgestellt werden konnte, den Nachteil, dass bei ihnen eine gute Säurebeständigkeit nicht von einer guten Schmelzbarkeit begleitet wird ; in Übereinstimmung hiemit hat der Verein österr. Emailfachleute modeling) in einem Rundschreiben (Dezember 1957) darauf hingewiesen, dass bleifreie Aluminiumemails nicht säurebeständig seien. In neuerer Zeit wurden Aluminiumemails beschrieben, die unter anderem 9, 8-29 Gew.-% SiO2, 11,9-26 Gew.-% Na2O und bis zu 30 Gew.-% BaO sowie vorzugsweise 1 - 11% Sb 0 enthalten. Jedoch weisen auch diese Emails obige Nachteile auf. Erwähnt seien noch als säurebeständig bezeichnete Aluminiumemails, die auf Basis von an sich giftigen Zink- und Antimontrioxyd zusammengesetzt und überdies auch nicht bleifrei sind. Es ist nunmehr gelungen, ein giftfreies Aluminiumemail mit einer guten Oberfläche (welche die meisten bleifreien Aluminiumemails nicht aufweisen) zu entwickeln, das gleichzeitig bleifrei, säurebeständig und gut schmelzbar ist und ausserdem giftige Bestandteile, wie BaO, ZnO, Sb. O., Cdo und Fluoride nicht enthält. Erfindungsgemässe Emails weisen einen besonders hohen Alkaligehalt und einen ebenfalls hohen Gehalt an Oxyden des Typs RO2 (Si02 bzw. Unter XmOn sollen Oxyde von Schwermetallen, wie z. B. CuO oder Co 0,, verstanden werden, die dem Email eine bestimmte Färbung verleihen können. EMI2.3 rer Vorteil erreicht, nämlich dass der Ausdehnungskoeffizient der Emails bedeutend höher gelegen ist, in der Regel über 480 x 10-7 (kubisch), wodurch das Email bei aussenwandiger Anwendung auf Küchengeräten weniger leicht von gebogenen Rändern abspringt ; ausserdem wird hiedurch erreicht, dass, wenn das Email für das einseitige Emaillieren von flachen Werkstücken angewendet wird, diese letzteren sich weniger ziehen, als es der Fall sein würde, wenn der Ausdehnungskoeffizient niedriger wäre. Dieser Schlamm wird durch Spritzen oder Tauchen auf das gereinigte Metall gebracht, worauf bei ungefähr 5600C eingebrannt wird. Die Erfindung umfasst gleichfalls Gegenstände, welche ganz oder teilweise aus Aluminium oder andern Leichtmetallen, einschliesslich deren Legierungen, hergestellt sind, deren Metallteile mit einem erfindungsgemässen Email überzogen sind. **WARNUNG** Ende DESC Feld kannt Anfang CLMS uberlappen**.
