Description

Shell or spherical glatium cover for lighting fixtures.
The invention described below is intended to pursue the purpose of amplifying the rays emanating from a light source in the lower half of the room irradiated.
The use of burning glasses or positive cylindrical lenses bent into a ring to intensify the light effect is known, but the effect of such protective glasses was only one-sided; namely, it only appeared in the direction of the axes of the optical lenses or in the focal plane of the ring lenses.
This invention is intended to remedy this inconvenience and to distribute the light amplification as evenly as possible in the room.
The subject matter of the invention is formed by a bowl-shaped glass bell, the glass wall b of which is held in a convex-concave manner, i.e. H. that the radii and center points a, e of the inner (c) and outer (d) spherical surface of the envelope are chosen so that this envelope acts like a uniform converging lens.
The light is placed in the middle,
The subject of the invention is shown schematically in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing below. If necessary, the shape to be selected results from the type of light source and the purpose of the lighting.
