Herd
H., Grossumstadt/Odenwald).

stove
The invention relates to a stove with a heat-resistant and impact-resistant cover, which is preferably hinged to the rear upper edge of the stove, for covering the cooking areas or the stove top as required. The cover plates normally provided on cookers are in almost all cases drawn, brightly enamelled sheet metal parts. Since enamelled parts are more or less sensitive to impact, such stove lids are not suitable as work surfaces.
There are also known hinged covers for stoves, which are made of steel, cast metal or other material and can be raw, blackened, enamelled, nickel-plated, chrome-plated or the like, the cover being entirely made of material of the above configuration. Such designs have the
Disadvantages of being very heavy or not corrosion-resistant or not scratch-resistant and impact-resistant.
The deficiencies outlined are eliminated according to the invention in that the cover surfaces, u. between at least the cover surface which is at the top in the covering position consists of impact, scratch and corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant material made of plastic or stainless steel.
In the case of a stove whose cover is preferably made of enamelled sheet metal, the invention is advantageously implemented in that the cover surface is covered with impact, scratch and preferably corrosion-resistant or heat-resistant material, in particular with a plate made of plastic or stainless steel. The edges of the covering plate and the preferably hood-like cover can be connected to one another by means of an annular clamping strip, the upper edge of the clamping strip preferably enclosing the work surface in a bead-like manner.
Many households have two stoves operated with different types of energy. Usually either an electric or gas stove and a coal stove for each is provided. Normally only the electric or gas stove is in operation in the warm season and only the coal stove in the cold season. The cooker according to the invention offers particular advantages here, since the cooker that is not in operation and that has not been used up to now can now be used as a work table.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
1 shows the cover of a cooker according to the invention in a top view, FIG. 2 shows a section along the line 11-11 in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows a part of this section on a larger scale.
The preferably hood-like cover denoted by 1 carries the plate 2 forming the work surface on its upper side. The plate 2 is fastened to the cover 1 by means of the annular strip 3. This strip is preferably designed so that it fits onto the cover 1 and the plate 2 can be sprung open. The upper edge 3a of the terminal strip 3 can be raised like a bead.
The use of Resopal panels (trademark of the company H. Römmler G. m. B. H., Grossumstadt / Odenwald) is particularly advantageous.
