<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
are arranged and connected to an electrical potential so that the trapped particles are again subjected to electrostatic spraying from the trapping surfaces and, if necessary, only a remainder is fed to the storage container of the spraying device for recycling.
This two-stage spray process and the corresponding equipment are not just for water-soluble ones
EMI2.1
Apparatus with a fixed spray gap are used.
A device is suitable for carrying out this method in which the rotating spray bell is surrounded by stationary ring-shaped or angular baffles which are arranged concentrically around the bell in a protective shield and to which an electrical potential is applied. The interception shield has a discharge to the storage vessel at the lowest point.
The guide plates for the second spraying are advantageously in the same plane with the upper edge of the spray bell for the first spraying or are slightly set back from this. It is also possible to arrange the guide plates several times and to shape them in such a way that more than two-stage spraying takes place.
An example of a device is illustrated using the drawing:
In the drawing, 1 denotes the axis mounted at 4, around which the hollow, concave spray bell 2 rotates. The spray, e.g. B. the paint is fed to the spray bell at 3 from the storage vessel 9.
A ring-shaped intercepting screen in the form of a conical surface, the base of which is turned away from the workpiece 8, is designated by 5.
The spray bell 2 can advantageously be attached in such a way that its contour facing the workpiece is set back from the edge line of the protective shield 5.
6 denotes guide plates which have sharp edges or folds made of metal and on which the second spraying of the stray paint droplets caught by the interception screen S takes place. As the drawing shows, you can step back with the upper edge of the spray bell 2 for the first spraying in a plane or also opposite this.
Remnants of paint droplets that have not been sprayed are collected at the lowest point of the interception screen 5 and fed back to the storage vessel 9 through the discharge line 10.
