Hydraulische Absenkvorrichtung für intermittierend arbeitende
Str anggussanlagen

Hydraulic lowering device for intermittent working
Continuous casting plants
The invention relates to a hydraulic lowering device for intermittently operating continuous casting plants, with a lowering table for the strand, which is moved jerkily away from the continuous mold and is intended to eliminate the inconveniences that occur in such plants. In the known water casting systems, the casting table is lowered by means of a hydraulic cylinder arranged vertically in the lowering container. When casting (start of pouring), the extended strand begins to move downwards continuously.
As a rule, the aim is to achieve as uniform a speed as possible by regulating devices and pumps, because otherwise the continuously increasing weight of the strand would also result in an increase in the lowering speed.
It is also already known that an acceleration of the casting speed is achieved in that the solidified strand is pulled intermittently from the solidification mold. For this purpose a piston pump is used, the piston strokes of which cause the jerky lowering. The casting speed can only be regulated by changing the drive speed of the pump. However, since the movement diagram is given by the piston drive of the pump, it is not possible to change the individual phases such as standstill and movement in relation to each other, which has significant disadvantages in terms of control technology.
This is avoided according to the invention in that an electrically controlled shut-off device for the pressure medium is built into the suction line of the suction pump which causes the jerky lowering.
This is intended to prevent the casting head from getting stuck in the mold and at the same time to achieve compression of the casting. The intermittent downward movement of the hydraulic piston is achieved by intermittently sucking away certain quantities of oil from the hydraulic cylinder. According to a further characteristic of the invention, the shut-off device is designed as an electromagnetically actuated slide controlled by a timing relay combination.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, in the scheme.
As can be seen from the drawing, the lowering table 12 for the strand of a continuous casting plant is actuated by a piston drive 1 '. For this purpose, the cylinder of the piston drive 1 is via a line 6 and the suction or. Pressure lines 7, each connected to a suction pump 2 or pressure pump 3. The other sides of these pumps are connected to an open oil container 11 via lines 8. To control the oil flow, an electrically controlled three-way slide valve 4 is provided in the suction line 7 of the suction pump 2 and an electrically controlled passage slide 5 is provided in the pressure line of the pressure pump 3, both slides 5 and 4 being connected to the oil container 11 via a leakage oil line U each.
Furthermore, the three-way slide 4 is connected to the oil container 11 via a suction line 10, through which the suction pump calls for oil when the table 12 is idle. The timing relay combination 13, which controls the electromagnetic three-way slide 4, consists of two electronic timing relays 15, 18 and an air contactor 17.

Opening times adjusted to certain limits. The mode of operation of the timing relay combination is as follows: If the selector switch 14 is switched to "intermittent", the timing relay 15 receives voltage
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and when the set delay time has elapsed, its contact 16 closes, thereby the magnetic slide 4 receives voltage via contactor 17 and opens the suction line. The lowering table moves down.
When the contact 16 closes, the timing relay 18 also receives voltage. After the set delay time, the time relay switches off the relay 15 with its contact 19, thereby opening contact 16 again, the magnetic slide 4 is de-energized and closes the suction line. The lowering table stands still. At the same time, contact 19 closes again and the next work cycle
