Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  The invention relates to a cinematographic camera with a moving coil instrument which controls the diaphragm and which is connected in series with a photoresistor and a power source in the measuring circuit.

  The invention is based on the object of creating a simply constructed circuit with which
 EMI1.1

Shutdown lighting conditions such as backlighting should be performed. In this case, the normal settings provided by the aperture control would lead to incorrect exposures.

   According to the invention, the set object is achieved in that in the measuring circuit alternately a variable resistor located in series with the photoresistor, to change the automatically set aperture openings in the direction of overexposure, or a variable resistor parallel to the photoresistor, to change the automatically set one Aperture openings in the direction of an underexposure, variable resistance, can be switched on.

   According to one embodiment of the invention, the photoresistor is in series with a switch. One variable resistor is connected to the one lead of the photoresistor and the other variable resistor is connected to the connection line between the photoresistor and the switch and at least one alternately effective tap for the variable resistors is connected to the lead to the switch. The tap is mechanically coupled to the switch in such a way that the switch is opened upon contact between the resistor provided for setting overexposures and the tap.

   The tap is advantageously permanently connected to a rotary knob. The two resistors are then arranged in the shape of a segment of a circle around the axis of the rotary knob. This makes it possible to achieve a particularly simple arrangement of the tap and the variable resistors.

   According to a further embodiment of the invention, an additional switch handle is provided for manually setting certain aperture values to open the switch coupled to the tap or an additional switch located in the same branch of the circuit, so that the current only flows through the variable resistor parallel to the photoresistor. By using this measure, the arrangement according to the invention can also be used for purely light-independent manual setting of certain aperture values.

   An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. It showsFig. 1 shows a circuit diagram of the arrangement with the setting for normal automatic exposure control, FIG. 2 the circuit diagram according to FIG. 1 with a setting for overexposure and FIG. 3 the circuit diagram according to FIG. 1 with a setting for underexposure.

   In the exemplary embodiment, the measuring circuit comprises a photoresistor 1 which is in series with a power source 2, for example a battery or a miniature accumulator, a moving-coil instrument 3 and a balancing resistor 4. The moving coil instrument 3 is coupled directly to the lamellae of the diaphragm in a manner known per se, for example via pin-and-slot connections. A switch 5, which can be opened or closed by means of a rotary knob 6, is also provided in the measuring circuit. For this purpose, the rotary knob 6 could, for example, have a control cam

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   be connected, with which the switch 5 held in the closed position under spring action can be opened.

   A tap 7 is also firmly connected to the rotary knob 6 and can interact alternately with two resistors 8, 9 arranged in the shape of a segment of a circle around the axis of rotation of the rotary knob 6. One resistor 8 is connected to the connecting line 10 between the photoresistor 1 and the switch 5, while the other resistor 9 is connected to the other lead 11 to the photoresistor 1. The tap 7, for its part, is in conductive connection with the supply line 12 to the switch 5.

   In the position according to FIG. 1, the current flows only between the photoresistor 1, the current source 2 and the moving coil instrument 3, since the switch 5 is closed and the resistors 8, 9 are currentless and therefore ineffective. The moving parts of the moving-coil instrument 3 and thus the diaphragm blades therefore assume a position which corresponds directly to the brightness determined by the photoresistor 1.

   If the rotary knob 6 is turned in the direction of the arrow a, the tap 7 comes into contact with the resistor 8. At the same time the switch 5 is opened. With this setting, a current flows not only through the photoresistor 1 and the moving coil instrument 2 but also through a more or less large section of the resistor 8 and the tap 7. This increases the total resistance in the measuring circuit. This would correspond to a lower brightness measured by the photoresistor. As a result, the diaphragm opens wider than the brightness that the photoresistor 1 picks up.

   If, on the other hand, the rotary knob 6 is rotated starting from the position according to FIG. 1 in the direction of the arrow b, the tap 7 comes into contact with the resistor 9. The switch 5 remains closed. A part of the current can therefore flow via the switch 5 and the photoresistor 1 and another part of the current via the tap 7 and a variable section of the resistor 9. This setting has the same effect as if the resistance value of the photoresistor 1 became smaller. This would correspond to an increase in the exposure brightness. As a result, the diaphragm controlled by the moving-coil instrument 3 closes farther than corresponds to the brightness determined by the photoresistor 1.

   In addition, a handle 13, only indicated schematically, can be provided on the switch 5, with which the switch 5 can be opened in the setting position according to FIG. A separate switch located in the supply line 12 would fulfill the same purpose. In this case, the current only flows via the moving-coil instrument 3 and an adjustable section of the resistor 9. The photoresistor 1 is de-energized in this setting. The position of the moving parts of the moving-coil instrument 3 and thus the diaphragm therefore only depends on the effective resistance value of the resistor 9. This means that manual adjustment of the diaphragm can be unaffected by the

 : Automatically adjusted aperture openings in the direction of underexposure variable resistor (9) can be switched on.
