1. Verfahren zur Regenerierung ausgebrauchter Katalysatorenwie z. B. von Silikagel, Tonerde, Thoriumoxyd, verschiedenen Mischoxyden mit Phosphorpentoxyd u. a. m. für die Herstellung von Melamin aus Harnstoff, dessen thermischen Zersetzungsprodukten oder Cyansäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die inaktiv gewordenen Katalysatoren mit überhitztem Wasserdampf, der gegebenenfalls durch inerte Gase und/oder geringe Mengen Sauerstoff verdünnt sein kann, von rund 250 bis 600 C behandelt werden, bis das Abgas ammoniakfrei ist.
