 Kreisbahn frei umlaufenden Kugeln durch die Zentrifugalkraft gegen die im wesentlichen   vertikale Mahlbahn   gepresst werden. Bei diesen kommt es leicht vor, dass die Wand, die die Mahlbahn bildet, an der Stelle, wo die Kugeln sie berühren, wo sie also am meisten beansprucht wird, durchbricht. Diese Gefahr wird noch dadurch erhöht, dass man die Mahlbahn im Querschnitt meist nicht geradlinig, sondern, wie die Zeichnung zeigt, hohl ausführt, so dass ungefähr an der   Berührungsstelle   der Kugeln eine   schwächste Stelle   entsteht, die das Eintreten eines Bruches begünstigt. 



   Um diesen   Übelstand   zu umgehen, setzt man nach der   vorliegenden Erindung die   die Mahlbahn bildende Wand aus zwei Teilen a und b zusammen, und zwar am besten
