As far as the light source 0 'is concerned (Fig. 1), the light rays lying at the angle D 0'D' emerge converging from the lens, while the light rays enclosed at the angles D 0'B and D 'O' B 'form the parabola hit directly and be thrown back diverging. The light rays propagating backwards in the arc BHB 'are reflected back by the spherical surface and pass through a point on the axis (e.g. 0'HH 0 ") located between the focal point 0 and the lens. Of these light rays, those which are the Hit the parabola directly, throw back converging.

From this it can be seen that when using two light sources, one of which is arranged in (? ', The other in the focal point 0), 500/0 of the light is parallelized and 500/0 leaves the reflector in a diverging or converging manner.

Experience has shown that lighting is best when the amount of converging light rays is reduced as much as possible.

For this purpose, according to the invention, instead of the hemispherical part of the reflector, an ellipsoidal part is used, in whose focal points the two light sources are arranged. The ellipsoidal part is limited by a plane passing through the outer focal point 0, the diameter of which is the same as the opening diameter of the upstream lens.

If the focal points of the paraboloid and the lens coincide with this outer focal point 0, then it is clear that the greatest amount of light emanating from the two light sources emerges in parallel, because the light rays emanating from the light source arranged in the focal point 0 become mainly parallelized by the paraboloid and the lens, while the light rays emanating from the light source arranged in the focal point 0 'are also directed parallel after their reflection towards the focal point 0, so that only a smaller part of the light rays emanating from 0', the lens respectively . the paraboloidal part of the reflector directly hitting light rays diverging or respectively. is converging.

The two focal points of the ellipsoidal part must lie close to one another, so that half the opening diameter, the small and large semi-axes of the ellipsoidal part show only slight deviations from one another in terms of their size.

If necessary, the ellipsoidal part could be replaced by a spherical cap or a hemisphere followed by a cylindrical part B B '(FIG. 3), the two light sources then being arranged in 0 and 0'.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Parabolic reflector with an upstream lens for a wide or two light sources, characterized in that the middle part of the reflector consists of an ellipsoid which intersects with the paraboloid in a circle whose diameter is equal to the opening diameter of the lens and which The plane goes through the front light source, the light sources being arranged in both focal points of the ellipsoid.
