    Beispiel 2,Ein inniges Gemisch gleicher Toile trockenen symmetrischen Dimethyl-   harnstoffes und Natriumamid wird nach der in Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Weise mit Cyanessigester behandelt. Es entsteht dabei in glatter Reaktion das Natronsalz des 1. 3-Dimethyl- 2. 6-dioxy-4-aminopyrimidin, welches sodann in bekannter Weise auf die freie Base verarbeitet wird. 



   Beispiel 3. Molekulare Mengen von Cyanessigoster und Methylharnstoff werden in der im Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Weise in Reaktion   gebracht. Durch Auflösen   der gebildeten Natronschmelze in Wasser und Fällen mit   Essigsäure erhält man   das schon von Traube beschriebene 3-Methyl-2,6-dioxy-4-aminoyrimidin in vorzüglicher Ausbeute.
