Method of eradicating hayworms and sourworms.
The present method forms a means for exterminating the hayworm and sourworm, as well as their brood and for driving away the moths of this terrible enemy of the sea.
At the same time, the same is also a control agent against oidium and downy mildew.
Although the individual components of the agent are already known per se (cf. Drilling), a particularly favorable effect is achieved through its very specific composition.
The remedy consists of the following parts:
1 part! Chlorinated lime, 1 part copper vitriol, 1 part sulfur, 4 parts lime.
These parts must be mixed together to form a very fine dust, which can be obtained by means of machines, bellows, etc. Like. With which the sulfur has been atomized for years, applied to the sticks in such a way that leaves, wood and flowers or grapes are coated with a thin touch. This work must be done three times during the summer, but only if dry weather is likely.
For the first time the procedure must be done during the flowering of the vine
EMI1.1
Lay eggs. The second time the procedure is performed about five weeks later.
The last time the procedure is used is when the second generation eggs are laid. Those warmers that still creep out will be destroyed by the dust that still adheres to the berries when they go from one berry to the other.
