Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass der Wasserdampf, der in die in einen Kondensator mundende Gasleitung und in die von dem Kondensator ausgehende und in die Feuerung niandende Gasrtickleitung eingeleitet wird, durch die Hitze des Ofens selbst erzeugt und in einem schraubenförmig um oder durch den Verkohiungsraum geführten Rohre üborhitzt wird. Dies hat die Wirkung, dass eine wesentliche Erhöhung der Umlaufgeschwindigkeit der Gase herbeigeführt und damit eine Steigerung der Heizwirkung im Feuerraum erreicht wird.
