 EMI2.1
To study compound with metal oxides alone. However, this gave negative results because the calcine slag was too strong, from which there is evidence that the Ver. Keeping the calcium-silicon mixture in connection with other metals can be seen as something strange. For example, the metallic calcium probably reduces chromium oxide, but there is no uniform deposition of chromium as regulus. The reaction with pure calcium is sometimes extremely violent, such as B. in the reduction of iron oxide with calcium, so that this cannot be used technically.

It is worth mentioning that the metals added will either be such metals

are only to be regarded as metals to be melted down, which should change the quantity of the metal obtained or the quality of the alloy. Furthermore, calcium and silicon can not only be used as a mixture, but especially as an alloy, which has the advantage that it is not so light oxidizes like calcium alone. At the same time, aluminum or magnesium can also be present in the alloy.

Of course, the metals or the alloy must be granulated as well as possible and mixed with Motalloxyd, as is already prescribed for the known aluminum hormite. Instead of oxygen compounds, it is of course also possible to use metal sulfur compounds or metal halogen compounds or mixtures of these with one another or with oxides or salts, such as sulfates and nitrates, which are also used as
