Fig. 2 bezieht sich auf den Fall, wenn in einer der Zweigleitungen ein Widerstand angeordnet wird. In diesem allgemeinen Fall könnte man in gleicher Weise auch Selbstinduktionsspulen und verschiedene Kapazitäten in den beiden Zweigleitungon anwenden.
Das Vorhandensein eines Widerstandes entsprechend Fig. 2 wird eine Verschiebung zwischen den beiden Strömen herbeiführen.
Fig. 3 stellt die Verbindungen dar, welche getroffen werden, um die Gangrichtung des Motors umzukehren. Wenn der Wendeschalter s in der voDgezeichneten SteUung sich befindet, dreht sich der Motor in dem einen Sinne ; wieder in die strichliert gezeichnete Stellung gebracht, so dreht sich der Motor entgegengesetzt. Bei der ersteren Stellung des Schalters liegt der Widerstand r in der Abzweigung A-'M', bei der anderen Stellung befindet sich dieser Widerstand in der Abzweigung .
Bei Vorhandensein mehrerer Motoren können die den einzelnen Motoren zugehörigen Spulen auf verschiedene Arten verbunden werden.

In the former position of the switch, the resistance r is in the branch A-'M ', in the other position this resistance is in the branch.
If there are several motors, the coils belonging to the individual motors can be connected in different ways.
