circular cutout of the cover plate 19, a sleeve 21 attached to the cock plug 20 protrudes into the space enclosed by the sleeve 18. The cock plug 20 together with the sleeve 21 in the cock housing by means of a Zeip; Leverage 23 are rotated as far as allowed by the adjusting screws 25 arranged on a graduated plate 24. The space enclosed by the sleeve 21 is connected by means of an opening 26 provided in this sleeve (FIGS. 3 and 6) to a space 27 in the cock plug, the outer wall of which is provided with an opening 28.
In the cock plug there is an air duct 31 outside the walls 29 and 30 delimiting the space 27 between the outside wall of the sleeve 21 and the outside wall of the cock plug, which by means of an opening 32 with the pipe socket 7 and by means of an opening 33 with an opening into the outside air Hopper 34 is in communication.
In this air duct 31, a flap valve S5 is arranged, which is kept closed under the pressure of a spring 36 and, in the open state, serves to connect the space enclosed by the sleeve 18 with the air duct 31; this flap valve is opened by means of a pin 37 guided on the outer wall of the sleeve 21 by an arm of a lever 38 arranged on the bottom of the sleeve 18 by lifting to the same extent as the other lever arm when the sleeve 27 is rotated by means of its bevelled conductive on this lever arm Lower end is depressed.
For use, the mouthpiece 1 is fastened to the mouth or in front of the mouth and nose of the person to be anesthetized by means of the headbands. This breathes depending on the position of the
