Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

   The invention relates to a control arrangement for film devices or the like, with two drive devices for the film, one of which conveys the film at a predetermined speed, while the other is controllable by a control device in the sense of adjusting its feed rate, which control device means for measuring the difference in length of film conveyed by the drives, e.g. B. has a dancer roll lying on a film loop provided between the two drives, and a differential gear with a directly motor-driven main drive shaft, a further drive shaft and an output shaft as a controllable drive device.

   In previously known arrangements of this type, the entire drive power was passed through the control device, so that the same had to be dimensioned relatively large. In addition, only friction gears were practically usable as regulating devices, which are subject to heavy wear and tear due to the high power to be transmitted. In addition, the known control arrangements require a large amount of space, on the one hand, due to the large dimensions for performance reasons and, on the other hand, due to the already large space requirements of conventional friction gears.

   Although a device is known in which the synchronization between sound and image was controlled via a differential gear, in addition to the film drive motor and the tape drive motor, a third motor was required in this device, to which the phase position between tape and film tape was input, the third being Motor readjusted the tape drive motor via the differential. Furthermore, this device was only suitable for film projectors or tape recorders arranged separately from one another.

   The invention is intended to avoid these disadvantages, and this is achieved in that the drive is guided on the one hand from the main drive shaft to the output shaft and on the other hand from the side of the main drive shaft via a control gear to the further drive shaft. In this way, the power to be supplied to the film drive to be controlled is branched, with only a small part of the power being used for control purposes, whereas the majority is transmitted directly for the drive. The variable speed transmission can therefore be kept relatively small and compact, the wear and tear due to abrasion being reduced.

   Since the synchronism between the two film drives can be maintained with certain tolerances without a control gear, it is possible, according to a preferred development of the invention, that the control gear has a coupling connected to and controlled by the dancer roller for each direction of rotation, the control drive shaft only can be driven in one direction or the other in the event of deviations in the delivery rate of the two film drives. It is also easily possible to provide a difference in the delivery rate of the two film drives from the outset, so that the control gear only requires a single clutch for only a single direction of rotation.

   In this case, however, the control gear will be used more frequently, whereas when using two clutches, the two film drives can be designed so that their delivery rates per unit of time are approximately the same. In this case, the control gear is only coupled if there are deviations in the delivery rate of the two film drives in one direction or the other.

   Such a transmission can be constructed in a particularly simple manner in such a way that the two clutches have drive gears which are mounted on a rocker or the like and which can be brought into action alternately.

  If necessary, it is possible to bring the two gearwheels alternately into engagement with another gearwheel, in which case a friction gear can be saved at all.

   Further details of the invention emerge from the following description of the exemplary embodiments shown schematically in the drawings. FIGS. 1 and 2 schematically illustrate two exemplary embodiments of the invention, whereas FIGS. 3 to 5 show a preferred embodiment of the transmission, FIG. 3 being a side view, partially in section, FIG. 4 an end view and FIG. 5 a plan view .

   Fig. 1 shows a control arrangement as it has become known in part from the Austrian patent specification No. 277765. With regard to the functioning of those parts that are described in this patent specification, it is therefore not necessary to go into more detail. In order to understand the invention, it should be said that a motor - 1 - drives two film drives, namely on the one hand a capstan - 2 - and on the other hand a gripper - 3-. A film --4 - should now be conveyed by both film drives, whereby the delivery rate of both film drives must be the same.

   Between the two film drives - 2, 3 - the film - 4 - forms a film loop - 4a- which should always be of the same size if the quantities conveyed by the two drives 2, 3 are the same. The difference in the delivery rates is measured by a dancer roller --5--. The dancer role --5-- sits on one
 EMI1.1
 a differential gear Within this differential gear - 11 - a gear --12-- is rigidly connected to the main drive shaft - 10 - and meshes with a planetary gear - 13-- which is part of a reduction gear provided within the differential gear.

   This reduction gear furthermore has a pinion - 14 - which is connected to the planetary gear - 13 - and finally drives a gear - 16 - seated on an output shaft 15. On the output shaft --15-- a cam - 17 - is arranged in a known manner, which controls the gripper --3--.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   The gear train described so far can practically be viewed as a pure reduction gear, which provides the main part of the drive power for the gripper - 3 -. In addition, however, the differential gear --11-- has a further drive shaft - 18 - which is driven from the side of the main drive shaft --10-- via two cones -19, 20--, the belt --9-- with the belt fork-8--, a drive pinion
 EMI2.1
 Differential gear - 11 - received.

   In the exemplary embodiment shown, the reduction from the motor --1-- to the gripper --3-- is selected in such a way that readjustment is always required, which is why the control gear with the two cones 19, 20 is of course constantly driven. However, the power passed through this control gear is relatively low, which not only reduces wear, but also reduces the amount of time required to regulate, ie. H. The forces required to adjust the belt --9-- can be kept low.

   This last-mentioned advantage also arises, of course, in designs according to the invention in which the variable speed gear is switched intermittently. This is the case with the arrangement according to FIG. 2, in which the dancer roller --5-- is mounted on a lever --23--. A connecting rod - 25 - is connected to this lever, the other end of which engages a rocker - 26. The
 EMI2.2
 becomes.

   The reduction over the edges - 12, 13, 14 and 16 - is selected so that the conveying speed of the gripper --3-- roughly corresponds to that of the capstan --2--. Therefore, the rocker - 26 - will normally assume its central position shown in Fig. 2, whereas with a larger delivery rate of the gripper --3 - due to the enlargement of the loop --4a - in its right-hand position indicated by dash-dotted lines
 EMI2.3
 the rocker - 26 - is pivoted into its left, dot-dash position. In all these positions, the drive gear -30--, about whose axis the rocker-26-is pivotable, remains in engagement with the worm -31--.

   A particularly compact transmission is shown in FIGS. The dancer roll --5-- is connected to a lever --36-- with a swing arm --37--. The rocker --37-- is just like in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 around the axis --38-- one with a gear part, namely one
 EMI2.4
 --39-- in gear --43-- is connected.

   A differential gear - IIIa - has a main drive shaft --44 - which is widened in the shape of a bell to form a belt wheel - 45 -. This belt pulley --45-- uses two round belts --46-- to drive the motor. In the interior of the bell-shaped belt wheel -45- there is a toothing -47- with which a toothed wheel -49- which is rotatably mounted on an axis -48- meshes. With this gear --49-- another gear - 50 - is connected, which in turn
 EMI2.5
 --51-- drives an output shaft --52--. Cage --39-- is safely braked, there is a friction lining on axis - 38 - of gear wheel - 40 - with a spring 56 - (Fig. 5) the gear --40-- presses against this friction lining --55 -.

   While the gear wheel --40-- is being driven via one of the friction wheels - 53 - or - 54 - the friction exerted by the friction lining --55-- must be overcome. It is therefore more advantageous to use the

 EMI3.1
 one of which works directly with a pawl, the other interacts via a lever to open the same.

   In Fig. 4, a toggle - 57 - of a mode switch is indicated schematically, on the shaft - -58-- a fork --59-- is attached. When the sound projector is switched to silent mode, the fork - 59 - is used to grasp the lever - 36 - the dancer roll - 5 - and so on the one hand the dancer roll --5-- and on the other hand the rocker - 37-- fixed in their position.
