they too, u. between begins to vibrate at the same speed. The regulating screw m, which is attached opposite the contact screw f, is an important component.

The same serves to regulate the number of vibrations and thus also to modify the pitch. This gives you a simple means of setting a device to any tone you want.

It should also be mentioned that two or more membrane plates (or other suitable toning bodies) can be combined with an electromagnet. This special construction is shown in FIG. The approach e is divided into two levers d1 and d2, each of which leads to a membrane plate. This construction has the advantage that the tone strength is doubled without having to choose a more powerful electromagnet.

Two or more electromagnets can also be connected to a single sounding body in such a way that all of them act on it in the same way, but each with a different number of vibrations. If one now conducts the electric current through one or the other electromagnet, one can produce tones of different heights with a single body. Fig. 4 shows such a signaling apparatus with three electromagnets, which all act on a single membrane plate. The carriers e1, e2, e3 of the contact screws f1, f2, f3 are all united and go out into the lever d, which is made correspondingly wide. I agree

These signaling devices can primarily be used instead of the electric bells that have been used up to now. They are particularly suitable for factories, mines, etc. They have the advantage over the bells that they can be locked completely watertight, which cannot be achieved with those. Larger types of the signaling apparatus described could also be used instead of steam whistles, fog horns, etc., u. between especially there. where the signal apparatus must be operated from a remote location.

The steam darts and similar signaling devices always had to be moved from the place where they were
