Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pressvorrichtung zur Formung plastischer Massen mit einem von einer elastischen Membran überdeckten Flüssigkeitskissen in das ein Kanal zur Zu- und Abfuhr von Druckflüssigkeit mündet und mit einem die zu formende Masse gegen die elastische Membran pressbaren Formwerkzeug.
Eine zur Herstellung einzelner Hohlbuchstaben od. dgl. aus thermoplastischem Material bestimmte Vorrichtung bedient sich eines Blocks aus elastischem Werkstoff, z. B. Gummi, in welchem eine Platte aus thermoplastischem Material in erhitztem Zustand mittels einer, dem herzustellenden Hohlbuchstaben od. dgl. entsprechenden Form eingedrückt wird. Obwohl sich Vorrichtungen dieser Art mit Vorteil in der Praxis zu ; Herstellung mannigfaltiger Hohlkörper aus thermoplastischem Material durchgesetzt haben, bestand bei diesen Vorrichtungen dennoch ein bisher in Kauf genommener Nachteil, dass der Block aus elastischem Material im Laufe der Zeit den an ihn gestellten Forderungen nicht mehr entsprochen hat und durch einen neuen ersetzt werden musste, was mit verhältnismässig hohen Kosten und einem zeitweisen Produktionsausfall verbunden war.
Zum Prägen durchlaufender Warenbahnen wurde ein aus Prägewalze und Gegenwalze bestehendes Walzenpaar vorgeschlagen, bei welchem die Gegenwalze aus einem Walzenkern, einem mehrschichtigen elastischen Mantel und einem dazwischenliegenden von Flüssigkeit durchflossenem Hohlraum besteht. Diese Vorrichtung eignet sich nicht zur Formung von Stückgut.
Schliesslich ist eine Pressvorrichtung bekanntgeworden, welche aus einer stationären unteren und einer höhenverstellbaren oberen Druckplatte besteht, deren Druckfläche einen Druckluftpolster besitzt. Auch diese Vorrichtung ist nicht geeignet das eingangs geschilderte Erzeugungsprogramm zufriedenstellend zu erfüllen.
Um dieses Ziel unter Vermeidung der Nachteile der bekannten Vorrichtungen zu erreichen, wird bei einer Pressvorrichtung der eingangs erwähnten Art erfindungsgemäss vorgeschlagen, dass das Flüssigkeitskissen in einer von einer ortsfesten Gegendruckplatte abschliessbaren Wanne vorgesehen ist.
Es ist wohl ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von mit farbigen Bildern versehenen Deckkappen bekanntgeworden, bei welchem ein Flüssigkeitskissen als Gegendruckfläche für eine Prägevorrichtung verwendet wird, wobei jedoch die Flüssigkeit unmittelbar mit dem geprägten Werkstück in Berührung steht. Eine solche Vorrichtung ist für den erfindungsgemässen Zweck der Herstellung beliebig geformter Hohlkörper mit gleichbleibender elastischer Schichte ungeeignet.
Weitere Einzelheiten der Erfindung werden an Hand der Zeichnungen näher erläutert, in welcher ein Ausführungsbeispiel der erfindungsgemässen Vorrichtung in vereinfachter Form dargestellt ist. Es zeigen Fig. 1 einen Querschnitt der erfindungsgemässen Vorrichtung und Fig. 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie II-II der Fig. 1.
Die erfindungsgemässe Vorrichtung weist einen im vorliegenden Falle aus fünf Rippen zusammengesetzten Träger--l--sowie einen an diesem um die Achse --2-- schwenkbar gelagerten, in der Richtung des Pfeiles A zu öffnenden und mit dem Träger--l--Gehäuse bildenden Verschlussteil-3--auf.
