Process for the production of incandescent bodies for electric incandescent lamps.
According to the process protected in the parent patent No. 29839 and the additional patents No. 29840 and No. 32522, incandescent bodies are made from difficult-to-melt metals, hearing and silicon by making colloids of these substances, optionally with the addition of the same substances, in finer form Powder processed into plastic masses. Brings these into the desired shape of incandescent bodies and heats the latter after drying until it burns white. The same plastic compounds are also used to establish the connection between the Giühkkörpers and the lead wires.
According to the present invention, this process is designed in such a way that arsenic or antimony or a mixture of both in the colloidal state or in the form of fine powder is added to the plastic masses characterized above, and the procedure is otherwise as in the parent patent and the additional patents mentioned.
Instead of or in addition to arsenic and antimony in the pure state, however, their oxygen or sulfur compounds in the colloidal or ordinary state can be incorporated into the plastic masses obtained according to the parent patent or the named additional patents; then the final heating to white embers must be carried out in a reducing atmosphere and the plastic masses should then not contain any nitrides of boron or silicon.
By adding arsenic and antimony to the plastic masses or by incorporating these substances into the incandescent bodies, the melting temperature thereof is increased and a more favorable conversion of the electrical energy into light is ensured.
