Verfahren zum Bleichen von Leim.
Es ist bereits bekannt, gefärbte Textilfasern mit Hilfe des basischen Zinksalzes der Formal- dehydsulfoxylsäure zu entfärben. Es wurde nun gefunden, dass sich zum Bleichen von Leim das genannte Zinksalz im Gegensatz zum Natriumsalz (Rongalit) ebenfalls in ausgezeichneter Weise bewährt. Während z. B. beim Entfärben von Leim mit Rongalit bei Anwesenheit von Metallsalzen infolge teilweiser Zersetzung des Bleichmittels leicht Schwefelmetall gebildet und der Leim unter Graufärbung entwertet wird, tritt bei der Verwendung des basischen Zinksalzes eine derartige Zersetzung nicht ein ; die Leimmasse wird durch diese Behandlung wesentlich aufgehellt und es findet kein nachträglicher Rückgang des Effektes statt.
Beispiel.
In den Siedekessel, in dem der Leim bzw. die Leimbrühe oder das Leimgut bis zu einer Temperatur von zirka 1000 C erhitzt wird, wird das basische Zinksalz der Formaldehydsulfoxyl- säure, das man mit Wasser zu einem dünnen Brei angeteigt hat, unter Rühren eingetragen. Die
