EMI1.1
Bottle closures are known which consist of tearable metal capsules and which are provided on the surface with such slits or cutouts that they form a tongue that can be opened, serves as a handle and makes it easier to tear open.
These closures suffer from the disadvantage that the capsule surface tears off slightly at an angle when the handle a (FIG. 1) is pulled, as shown by the dotted lines in the plan of FIG. 1. This prevents the capsule from tearing open.
In order to prevent the early tearing off of the tear tabs, the arrangement has already been made so that in the area of this tear-off angle x (FIG. 2), u. betw. running from the edge of the capsule to its center, insert new slits b, which are directed in such a way that the two newly created tear lines, the legs of the angle atl, again get a greater distance from one another. According to the invention, these slots are now arranged so that they are from the
Center. the capsule to run towards the edge, so that when tearing open by means of the handle a now a point further away from it (the apex of the angle 7.1) is reached with certainty and this arrangement is repeated until the last tear angle with certainty the Reached the edge of the capsule, as is indicated in FIG.
This arrangement has the advantage over the continuous perforation or scoring of the tear line that the slits b can keep a relatively large distance from one another without compromising the resistance to tearing, whereby the capsule has a far greater strength! t a! s when perforating or scoring.
