The invention relates to an analog-frequency converter for forming a frequency proportional to the temperature difference, resistance thermometers being switched into a resistance bridge and the output voltage of the bridge via an amplifier stage, e.g. B. operational amplifier and transistor stage, the frequency of a first capacitor discharging multivibrator controls, wherein an amount of charge proportional to the frequency is fed back from the first capacitor to the input of the amplifier stage.
For electronic measuring and counting devices that process the measurement information digitally incrementally, analog-frequency converters are required that convert temperatures or temperature differences into proportional frequencies. Electronic calculators for heat counting systems are an important area of application. Since the calculation of the amount of heat in these is incrementally digital, the error portion of the calculator in the heat count is largely in the analog-frequency converter.
Several circuits are known for converting temperatures measured by means of resistance thermometers into a frequency. In one part, the resistance thermometers are arranged in a measuring bridge and the output voltage of the bridge controls a variable-frequency oscillator with the aid of an amplifier stage, which consists of an operational amplifier and a transistor. It is also known that this oscillator consists of a flip-flop that discharges a capacitor, with a feedback being intended to ensure the desired relationship between bridge detuning and frequency without the properties of the amplifier and flip-flop being too strong.
The measuring bridge and the feedback are dimensioned in a known manner in such a way that the variable thermal coefficient k to be taken into account in the heat calculation is simulated through a deliberately created non-linearity in the conversion of the analog value of the temperature difference into a frequency.
The known circuits have several defects. The required high level of accuracy could previously only be achieved with a high level of electronic expenditure, in particular the dependence of the output frequency of the converter on the ambient temperature of the device could only be controlled with difficulty. Furthermore, major circuit changes were necessary in the known computing devices in order to adapt them to the large possible temperature ranges, different types of resistance thermometers and the counting in different units.
The invention avoids the mentioned disadvantages in that the trigger stage consists of a unijunction transistor, the breakdown voltage of which can be varied, an auxiliary transistor which is connected in parallel to the unijunction transistor and is controlled by it, and a voltage divider for fine adjustment of the frequency to which the gate of the unijunction transistor is connected is placed, there is that a thyristor is used as the output stage, which is ignited by the discharge current of the unijunction transistor and pulses of the frequency proportional to the temperature difference occur at its load resistor,
and that in the return a transistor connected as a diode and a differentiating element formed from a resistor and a second capacitor are used and the transistor is switched on as a clamping diode between the differentiating element and the input of the amplifier stage, the semiconductor systems being combined in a monolithic integrated circuit and the resistor is connected to the bridge branch assigned to the colder resistance thermometer and a further resistor is connected in parallel to the warmer resistance thermometer. Said clamping diode is a normal diode, which has the special task of serving as a diode for shifting the returned pulses to the potential of the input of the amplifier stage.
According to a further characteristic of the invention, the second capacitor has positive, one resistor of the voltage distributor has negative and another resistor of the voltage divider has positive or constant temperature coefficients.
Finally, the invention is characterized in that a resistor with a lower resistance value than the bridge resistors can be switched on in the diagonal of the resistance bridge for switching to different types of resistance thermometers, e.g. B. from Pt 100 to Ni 100 resistance thermometer.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment, for example.
The drawing shows a circuit according to the invention. This circuit shown in the drawing contains one of the resistors - 11, 12, 13--, the zero point setting resistor --14-- and the resistance thennometers for the warmer line --4-- and for the colder line --5-- educated

Appropriate choice of resistors --11, 12, 13, 15 and 16--. According to the invention, the loading of the bridge by a lower value for the resistance --16-- allows the arithmetic unit to be switched from e.g. B. Pt 100 to Ni 100 resistance thermometer. The amplifier stage made up of the operational amplifier --21--, the resistors --23, 24, 25-- and the transistor --26-- changes the charging current of the capacitor --27--.
According to the invention, the flip-flop consisting of the programmable unijunction transistor -29-, the auxiliary transistor -30-, the resistors -28, 31 and 33- and the final value setting resistor -32- discharges the capacitor -27- when its voltage the control voltage of the PUT --29-- set at --32-- is reached. The frequency of the breakover oscillation is therefore dependent on the amplified bridge output voltage. A feedback formed from the capacitor --22--, the transistor --20-- connected as a diode and the resistor --19-- feeds a current proportional to the output frequency to the inverting input of the operational amplifier --21--, the compensates for the current coming from the bridge and thus creates a linear relationship between the bridge output voltage and frequency.
The pulse appearing at resistor --28-- controls the output stage consisting of thyristor --34-- and resistor --35--.
The main subject of the invention is the use of the PUT --29-- as a flip-flop and the transistor --20-- connected as a diode, the connection of the resistor --19-- to the bridge arm associated with the colder resistance thermometer and the connection of the compensation resistor - 15 - to the bridge branch assigned to the warmer resistance thermometer, which ensures the constancy of the frequency zero point over the entire measuring temperature range. Another object of the invention is the combination of the semiconductor systems - 20, 29, 30 and 34 - in a monolithic integrated circuit, since this is the only way to achieve a low ambient temperature response of the temperature difference-frequency ratio.
The remaining temperature drift is eliminated by the inventive use of a capacitor --22-- with a positive temperature coefficient and the choice of a resistor - with negative and --33-- with positive or constant temperature coefficients. By varying the capacity value from --22--, the different nominal temperature differences, different display units, e.g. B. Gcal, MWh or GJ assigned conversion factors of the output frequency of the converter.
