In the textile industry, rotating shearing machines are used to produce so-called greases.
Chick cloths or chick felts are used, which are made of wool or wool felt and have the purpose of supplying the knives of the shearing machine with the necessary lubricating material to maintain their sharpness. For this purpose, the cheesecloths rest lightly on the cutting edges and are constantly and gently touched by the rapidly rotating knives, so that the lubricating material poured onto the chimpanzee above, which is usually some kind of oil. distributed in felt. d.
