Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a liquid-tight connection of pipes or pipe sections, in particular pipes or pipe sections with a plastic jacket, for example made of polyethylene, one pipe end in the other pipe end, which is designed with an inner diameter that is larger in relation to the overall pipe , is plugged in and surrounds the pipe ends at the connection point with a shrink or welding sleeve.
Such connections are realized when assembling drilling into pipelines for liquid or gas transport.
They are given the task of ensuring that there are no leaks at the connection point and that the connection is to some extent elastic to allow the pipes to be moved easily.
The object of the invention is to provide a liquid-tight connection for pipes, which is particularly suitable for the production of lines for district heating plants, in particular for the transport of a heated medium.
This is achieved according to the invention by one between the cuff and one on the
Pipe ends located sleeve arranged plastic insulation, in particular made of polyethylene or
Polyurethane.
It is advantageously provided that the plastic insulation covers the overlap area of the two
Covers pipe ends.
Another embodiment provides that the plastic insulation is more flexible
Hose section is executed, or that the plastic insulation is a flexible tape that has an adhesive layer. With these versions, the plastic insulation can be attached during installation without the need to use special machines.
Another exemplary embodiment provides that the one arranged under the plastic insulation
Sleeve made of aluminum sheet.
Below is an embodiment of the invention with reference to the figure of the accompanying
Drawings described in detail, without the invention being limited thereto.
Fig. 1 shows schematically a longitudinal section through two pipe ends to be connected, Fig. 2 shows schematically the same pipe ends and pulled apart the individual connector parts, Fig. 3 shows schematically the two pipe ends assembled and the aluminum sleeve and the plastic insulation at the connection point, and 4 shows schematically the finished connection.
The pipes-1, Z- to be connected, in the exemplary embodiment cast iron pipes, both have plastic insulation --3--, in the exemplary embodiment made of hard polyethylene.
The pipe ends are designed so that the pipe end-r-can be inserted into the pipe end --'-, the inside diameter id of the pipe end being extended --2 '- compared to the remaining diameter rd of the pipe-Z-, i.e. H. is slightly larger than the outside diameter ad of the pipe-l-.
The pipe-l-has no plastic insulation in the area of the pipe end -'r, the pipe --2-- has a thinner plastic insulation in the area of the pipe end --'-.
Before the pipes --1, 2-- are put together, the individual parts of the connection, namely the plastic insulation --4--, a sleeve --5-- made of aluminum sheet and a conventional shrink sleeve --6-- are put on the pipes .
The pipe ends --1 ', 2' - are then inserted into each other and the sleeve --5-- made of aluminum sheet is pushed over the connection point.
Then the plastic insulation --4--, in the exemplary embodiment a plastic hose section made of elastic material, is pushed onto the sleeve --5-- (Fig. 3).
Finally, the shrink sleeve --6-- is brought into position and solidified at the connection point. The shrink sleeve --6-- is advantageously provided with a vulcanizing adhesive.
