Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Schaltungswelse für Wechselstromkollektormaschinen beim Bremsen.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Circuit catfish for AC collector machines when braking.

The purpose of the present invention is to arrange Wechaelstromkollektormoten, which are used to drive cars and similar purposes, in such a way that they run as generators and can deliver current into the feed line and furthermore to switch the electromotive force that they deliver to the feed line Force has essentially the same phase as that already present in the feed line.

Born operation of Wagen u. The motors often run as brake generators, but the armature and field windings of the same are connected in series. so up to now they could not work as generators under stable conditions. In order to achieve stable or controllable operating conditions, the field strength must remain unchanged or it must be possible for the operator to change it at will, as is the case with the field strength of machines with special excitation.

If AC collector motors are used to drive carriages and the voltage acting on them is changed by changing the effective number of turns of a transformer winding connected to it, it is proposed to excite the field winding of the motors running as generators separately by connecting them directly to the transformer winding and the The field strength is regulated by changing the connection points of the field strength with the transformer winding. The armatures then deliver electricity to the feed line. However, it is desirable that the electromotive force delivered to the feed line by a motor running as a generator is essentially in the same phase. like the one already in this line.

However, as can be seen from the consideration of the phase relationships, this will not be the case if the armature and field windings are directly connected to the Wpctaelotung. Since the field winding is highly inductive, the current phase remains against the phase of the electromotive force by almost 90, while, if the motor is equipped with suitable compensation windings, the current and electromotive force in the armature have almost the same phase, so that the electromotive force Force of the armature against that of the feed line is shifted by almost 900.

   There are therefore
 EMI1.1
To derive force from such a phase and to let act on the field magnet winding of a motor running as a generator that the electromotive force delivered by the armature to the feed line has essentially the same phase as that already prevailing in the feed line.

In the drawings, FIGS. 1 through 14 illustrate, for example, embodiments of the present invention.

In Fig. 1, the winding 1 of an autotransformer receives power from a suitable alternating current source. about an overhead wire J respectively. the rail 4 and the circuit

Since the phase of the electromotive force of the armature compared to that which acts on the field effect is shifted by almost 900, the electromotive force of the

Bring the armature almost in line with that in the feed line if the field winding is supplied with an electromotive force which is shifted by 900 compared to that in the feed line.

For this purpose, it is proposed that the field windings of the motors running as generators be fed by a collector machine in which, as noted above, the electromotive forces in the field and armature windings are shifted by almost 90 "relative to one another.
 EMI2.1
reached when the controller assumes the position indicated at the bottom of line G. f) The field strength of the exciter can be regulated by regulating the voltage supplied to the field winding 13 by an auxiliary controller 17, and the armatures 11 and 12 can be connected by the controller 8 to such points on the main transformer winding 1 that the voltages of the transformer windings lying between these points correspond to those generated by the motors.

The main controller is here set up and arranged so that the field windings 15, 16 of the motors are connected in parallel when the motors are running as generators, but if desired they can also be connected in series, as by the diagram below at the end of line G. indicated.

The armatures can also be connected in series if desired. If the machines run as motors, they can be permanently connected in series or in parallel, as indicated by the diagram at the bottom of line M, which indicates the motor position of the controller.

If desired, they can be connected first in series and then in parallel to increase the speed.

In order to be able to use an excitation generator smaller than the one required according to FIG. 1, which must be powerful enough to feed the field windings of all motors running as generators, the armature of the auxiliary excitation generator can be arranged in shunt to the field windings of the motors, as shown in FIG. 2 shows.

If the controller of this figure assumes the position (J, then the field winding 13 of the excitation generator is switched on at points of the main transformer winding 1 with a correspondingly small voltage difference and the armature 14 of the generator is in shunt with the 4'eld windings 1J and 16 of the main motors The armatures 11 and 12 of the motors deliver current to the main transformer winding 7 through the controller 8, which allows the connection points to be regulated to the latter. These circuits are indicated schematically at the lower end of the line G.

When the controller is moved to position M in order to run the machines as motors, the switching operations indicated at the bottom of line M occur.

When a car m. If several driving motors are designed, instead of using an auxiliary excitation generator, one of the motors can run as a generator and the field windings of the other motors, which also run as generators, can be fed with electricity. This arrangement is shown in Fig. 3, according to which when the motors are running as generators.

 EMI2.3

In practice, the power factor of the current delivered to the feed line by the motors running as generators is very large (up to 98%). In the device of FIG. 3, the motors can all be connected in parallel when the controller is in position 111, or they can be connected in some other way and their interconnection can be altered to effect changes in speed.

In practice it can happen that the motor used as an exciter for the other motors has a power that is more than sufficient to supply the excitation current. In order to be able to use its full power for braking purposes, a suitable resistor 21 can be arranged parallel to the armature, as shown in FIG. 4, which absorbs the excess current generated by the excitation motor which is not required for the field windings 15 and 16 of the other motors.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

In the foregoing, the invention has been presented in its application in series collector motors, but it can also be used in repulsion motors, for example. B. Winter-Eichberg engines are used. Fig. 5 shows such an application of the invention; a number of motors of this type with field windings 22, 23, 24 and armature windings 25, 26, 27 are connected in parallel if they are to run as motors. This circuit occurs when the controller is in position M and is indicated at the bottom of this line. The motors can run as generators to deliver current to the feed line when the controller is in the <? - position. The associated circuit is indicated at the lower end of this line.

The armature 25 of one of the motors is connected to the main transformer winding 1 and
 EMI3.1
winding connected, one of the connection points can be moved by a controller 8.

Not only the use of a commutator motor running as a generator in the specified manner to excite the field winding of other machines running as generators offers advantages, but the inductive load can, if the field magnet winding is excited in a similar way when the machine is running as a motor the feed line can be considerably smaller than if this winding is fed directly from the feed line. While
 EMI3.2
The current supplied is very small, for example by operating the exciter at a relatively high speed, the current is weak compared to that which is to be supplied by the armature to excite the field winding and which also has a small power factor .

This can reduce the total inductive load on the distribution line
 EMI3.3
The motor is of course not retained in this arrangement and it tends to run at a constant speed, but speed changes can easily be achieved by regulating the field strength of the motor.
 EMI3.4
To run the machine as a motor when the controller 28 is in position X; if the machine is to run as a generator, move the controller to position Y, whereby the armature 6 is connected directly to the transformer 1, while the field winding receives current from a phase change device 29.

According to FIG. 6, the latter consists of a continuously running induction motor, of which one winding 30 receives current directly from the transformer 1 and is arranged in this way opposite the other winding 31. that the electromotive force supplied to the spring winding 5 is of such phase. that the electro- J1 \ IJtor, see force in the armature corresponds to the phase with the electromotive force in the transformer 7 to which the armature is connected.

It can be seen that the voltage of the motor running as a generator increases with the Ge
 EMI3.5
 winding 1 can be connected.

Other phase changing devices can also be used, for example a synchronously running motor generator 33 Fig. 7, the electromotive force acting on the generator side being selected in relation to that acting on the motor in such a way that the electromotive force of the motor armature 6 corresponds in phase with the electromotive force of the Transformer 1 approximately matches.

It can be seen that, in the devices according to FIGS. 6 and 7, the phase change device must be sufficiently powerful to supply the field winding with the entire excitation current.

In order to be able to use a smaller phase change device than is necessary in these cases, the arrangement according to FIG. 8 can be used, in which the field and armature windings J and C of the motor are continuously connected in series and the angle 31 of the phase change device 29 is connected in parallel to the field winding by a switch 35 when the Mutr is running as a generator. The voltage that the phase change device attention to the field winding can be regulated in such a way that it is equal to the normal or a predetermined voltage drop in the field winding.

If the motor is run as a generator under normal conditions, then the phase change device remains essentially ineffective, it does not deliver any current to the field winding and does not take any of it. However, if the armature current falls below the normal strength, the field winding is supplied with the insufficient current through the phase change device. If, on the other hand, the armature current exceeds the normal value, the excess current is passed on to the phase change device and cannot pass through the field winding. In this way, the field strength can be kept essentially constant.
