Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a circular weaving machine for leno weave, with a control drum rotatable in the same direction as the shooter drive and with fixed needles for the upright threads and with a device for guiding the leno threads by means of needles with end eyelets which can be moved up and down parallel to the machine axis.
In particular for agricultural products, e.g. B. potatoes, onions and. The like. Sacks made of leno fabrics are particularly well suited both because of the security against warping of warp and weft and because of the good air permeability. But leno fabrics also offer particular advantages as a coating base for technical products because of their strength, security against sliding and their adhesion to the coating material.
Such a machine is described in U.S. Patent No. 1,139,073. In this tube weaving machine, fixed needles, equipped with thread deflection and guide rollers, are provided for the upright threads. Needles with end loops are probably present for the leno threads, but these needles only make a straight up and down movement parallel to the machine axis. For deflecting the leno threads to one side and to the other side of the upright threads, there are separate deflection fingers which can be pivoted in the machine circumferential direction and for the actuation of which the machine main shaft carries a separate control cam.
Another circular loom with rotating control drum, described in US Pat. No. 2, 830, 623, only had needles for the standing threads that could be actuated by the control drum for the formation of slat shed, and needles for the upright threads that were articulated on the machine frame and that could be pivoted back and forth by electromagnets for the leno threads. The magnets were switched on and off by switches that were actuated by the up and down standing pins. Furthermore, a lathe device for edge warp threads is described in DE-AS 2442914.
There are needles that can be moved up and down in a straight line for the upright threads and counter to these, as well as transversely adjustable eyelets for guiding the leno threads. To move these eyelet strips, a switching star with an extension is provided, which interacts with a displaceable plate loaded by helical compression springs. These known devices are particularly susceptible to failure because of their complicated control devices for the deflection of the leno threads and are not suitable for high-speed machines because of the large number and the associated great inertia of their parts.
The aim of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the known machines to create a circular weaving machine with a leno weave, which is particularly simple in construction and therefore reliable, can run quickly because of its simplicity and therefore has a high output and which shows little noise.
This goal is achieved in that, according to the invention, the turning needles can be moved back and forth in the circumferential direction of the weaving machine in a machine of the type specified at the outset by means of a switching star device known per se which is connected to the machine and can be actuated by the control drum of the machine.
Further features of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings, which show an embodiment of the circular loom according to the invention. 1 is a largely simplified view of the machine, FIG. 2 shows the rotary control in an end position, FIG. 3 shows the control during the changeover, FIG. 4 is a side view of the control and FIG. 5 shows the execution in a simplified form the control drum with the needles in different positions.
The main shaft --2-- is mounted in the weaving machine frame --1--, which carries the control drum --3-- with the control groove --4--, on which the drive rollers --5-- for the

The resulting product - a hose-12-- - is deflected upwards on the lower edge of the ring-10--, passes through the ring --10--, is flattened and pulled off by means of driven rollers --13-- and is then wound up or immediately processed.
