Abstract

The heald-frame belt segment 1 consists preferably of a plurality of belt sections 2 closed on themselves; the belt section consists of a plurality of belt portions 3, 4 which are connected by means of warp-thread loops 5 to form the belt section 2. The belt sections 2, in turn, are connected by means of a plate-shaped driver 6, preferably consisting of curing plastic or thermoplastic, to form the heald-frame belt segment 1. The individual belt portions 3, 4 run through the driver 6; the latter may have bores 7, projections or such coupling elements. Each warp-thread loop 5 consists of an elongate sheet- metal blank, of which a middle region 9 having the warp- thread eye 8 is preferably offset with respect to the two end regions 10. To fix the ends 14 of the belt portions 3, 4, the warp-thread loops 5 each have an elongate preferably rectangular perforation 11 running in the loop longitudinal direction and a bent tongue 12 lying between the perforation 11 and the warp-thread eye 8 and preferably pointing towards the perforation 11. The belt end 14 is inserted through the perforation 11 and pushed under the tongue 12 which is then pressed onto the belt end. The loops 5 have tapering end edges 15 and the ends of the loops are narrower than the belt portions 3, 4. <IMAGE>

Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 Zunge (12) geschoben.

   The invention relates to a shaft belt segment consisting of a plurality of self-contained belt pulls, each with at least one warp thread eyelet, the belt pulls combined to form the belt segment preferably being formed by a plate-shaped or the like . Is provided. Are interconnected.

   Belt trains of this type can be found in AT-PS 371 846. When operated in the weaving machine, these belt pulls are grouped together into belt segments. This summary is carried out by driver elements that are permanently installed in the machine, so that the individual belts can only be attached to these driver elements in the machine each time it is changed, which is time-consuming. In addition, the thread eyelets on the self-contained straps are attached laterally at the top, which creates an uninterrupted space requirement.

   The object of the invention is to provide a shaft belt segment which is particularly suitable for circular looms and which, due to its special design while avoiding the disadvantages of the known construction, makes it possible to maintain very small distances between adjacent warp threads and in which the connection of warp thread eyelets and belt ends can be carried out in a very simple manner is.

   To achieve this object, the shaft strap segment of the type mentioned at the outset according to the invention is characterized in that each strap pull consists of at least one strap section, at the ends of which the strap section (s) consisting of a sheet metal blank and which the strap sections join together to form a closed strap pull) Warp eyelet (s) is (are) attached.

   The measure that there is already a driver summarizing the belts on each belt segment prepared for installation, which is provided with a coupling device via which it can be connected to the adjustment device for the hanger present in the machine during installation, results in an essential one Time saving. The configuration according to the invention also allows a more space-saving arrangement than the known one and also the possibility of being able to replace individual belts in the machine more easily.

   Further features and details of the subject matter of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings, which illustrate a non-restrictive exemplary embodiment. 1a and 1b show the part carrying the warp eyelet eyelets and the part of the shaft strap segment provided with the driver in view and FIGS. 2a, 2b show the same parts in plan view; in FIGS. la and 2a, one end of the belt is omitted for better recognition of the formation of the warp thread eyelet.

   The shaft belt segment (1) consists of a plurality of self-contained belt trains (2), each of which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is formed from two belt sections (3) and (4) and two warp thread eyelets (5) connecting these two belt sections.

   All of the belt sections (3) and thus all of the belt trains (2) are connected to one another by a driver (6). The driver (6) has the shape of a plate, as shown, which consists of thermoplastic or hardenable plastic (casting resin and the like) and by molding on the continuous belt sections (3) in a z. B. is produced in two parts. In the example shown, the driver (6) has two coupling elements in the form of bores (7); instead of the bores, projections, cams or the like can also be provided as coupling elements.

   The warp thread eyelets (5) have the shape of elongated sheet metal blanks, which preferably have the warp thread eye (8) in their longitudinal center. The central region (9) carrying the warp thread eye (8) is interleaved with respect to the two end regions (10). The warp threads, not shown, therefore pass through the warp thread eyes (8) at an acute angle. According to this circumstance and due to the small thickness of the warp thread eyelets (5), the mutual distance between adjacent warp threads can be kept very small, although there is still no risk of damage to the warp threads by rubbing on the belt sections or on the eyelets.

   In order to hold the ends of the belt sections (3, 4) on the warp thread eyelets (5), in the exemplary embodiment shown they each have an elongated opening (11) near their ends, which preferably has a rectangular shape. Instead of the rectangular shape, the openings (11) can also have the shape of ellipses or the like. Preferably, however, the length (1) of the openings (11) is at most equal to the width (b) of the belt sections (3, 4) and furthermore the openings (11) are arranged so that their longitudinal extension runs in the longitudinal direction of the warp thread eyelets (5). The openings (11) are therefore - in relation to the direction of the belt sections (3,4) - preferably narrower than the belts themselves. Of course, other solutions for holding the ends of the belt sections (3,4), e.g. B. rivets may be provided.

   Between each opening (11) and the warp thread eye (8), a tongue (12) is provided, which is preferably produced by a cutting process. The tongues (12) are narrower than the belt sections (3, 4) in the exemplary embodiment shown, point to the openings (11), are bent out of the eyelets (5) and may have a sharpened one Free end (13) directed towards the eyelet (5).

   In general, the belt (3, 4) is slightly wider than the opening (11). To establish the connection between the belt section (3, 4) and the warp thread eyelet (5), the end (14) of the belt section must therefore be twisted somewhat in order to be able to be introduced more easily into the opening (11). It is turned back after insertion, being slightly pinched between the longitudinal edges of the opening and slightly arched. The strap end (14) protruding over the eyelet (5) is under the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 Tongue (12) pushed. The tongue (12) is now pressed against the belt end (14).

   By turning the belt end (14) it is held in the (narrower) opening (11), the sharpened end (13) of the tongue (12) keeps the end of the belt flat and in addition to any transverse movement that loosens the connection between Belt end (14) and opening (11) could be prevented.

   But it is also possible to use belt sections that are the same width or narrower than the openings (11); in these cases the strap end (14) lies flat on the eyelet (5). The friction of the twice bent belt end (14) on the transverse edges of the opening (11) and the friction between the belt end and tongue (12) are sufficient in many cases to hold the belt sections immovably.

   Instead of the connection that is easy to manufacture and easily detachable for the replacement of warp thread eyelets (5), the belt ends can also be held on the eyelets (5) by gluing, riveting, etc.

   The ends of the eyelets (5) have edges (15) converging at an acute angle and the ends of the eyelets (5) are narrower than the belt sections (3, 4). The end edges can preferably be connected to one another by an arc (16), the radius (17) of which is smaller than half the belt width (b).

   This design of the ends of the warp thread eyelets (5) prevents the eyelets (5) from obstructing one another, getting caught or jamming during the shedding movement.

   The connection between the driver (6) and the belt sections (3, 4) can also be designed according to the type of connection between the latter and the warp thread eyelets (5). For this purpose, the driver is formed by a rectangular or square sheet metal plate, each of which has a row of openings and two rows of bent tongues assigned to these openings on two parallel edges.

   The ends of the belt sections are, as already described, inserted through the corresponding opening and pushed under the associated tongue, which is then pressed towards the driver
