Die Pleuelstange 51 ist mittels des Bolzens 53 an einem Gleitblocke 52 angelenkt, der in der kastenförmig ausgestalteten Vorderwand des Gehäuseteiles 3 Führung findet und als Träger der Nadelstange 63 dient. Die Vorderwand des Kastens 23 weist einen Schlitz 56 auf, durch welchen der Garnspanner 57 hindurchragt. Auf dem Spannarme ist eine Durchlochung 58 vorgesehen, durch die das von der Spule ablaufende Garn hindurchgeführt wird. Auf dem oberen Teile der Vorderwand 23 ist ein Ansatz 59 angeordnet, auf dem die die Garnspule tragende Aufsteckspindel 60 befestigt ist.
Um die Garnspule auf der Spindel 60 sicher zu lagern, ist auf dem oberen Teile des Kastens eine Blattfeder 62 befestigt (Fig. 3), die mit ihrem Ende lose auf der Spulenspindel aufliegt : Die Nadelstange 63 ist an ihrem unteren Ende durch einen Bund 65 verstärkt, in dem zwecks Feststellung der Nadel 68 ein Stellschräubehen 66 eingeschraubt ist.
Den Werktisch der Maschine bildet die Plattform 69, die bei 70 mit der Hinterwand 13 des Gehäuseteiles 3 verbunden ist. Auf der Unterseite dieser Plattform sind Gabelarme 71 angegossen, in denen je ein mit einem Gummireifen 73 versehenes Stützrad 72 gelagert ist. Ausserdem sind auf der Unterseite der Plattform noch zwei, mit Kugellagern versehene Träger 75 angeordnet, in denen die Welle 78 lagert. Auf dem rückwärtigen Ende der'Welle ist ein mit dem Triebrad 8 der Maschine in Eingriff stehender Trieblinsr 79 aufgekeilt, während auf dem vorderen Ende dieser Welle der Schiffchenträger befestigt ist.
Auf'dem Werktische 69 ist ein Winkel 99 mittelst der Schraube 100 verstellbar befestigt, der beim Nähen von 8äuTllehen und dergl. in bekannter Weise als Stoffanschlag dient. Aul dem Gehäuseteile 3 ist ein kräftiger Griffbügel jf5, 16 befestigt, mit dessen Hilfe das Maschinengehäuse auf den Rädern 8 und 73 verschoben werden kann. Die Gehäuseteile 2 und 3 werden durch die mittels der Schrauben 98 verschraubten Flanschen 97 (Fig. 1) zusammengehalten.
Die Wirkungsweise der Maschine ist folgende : Zunächst werden die Werkstücke in doppelten oder mehrfachen Lagen auf den Arbeitstisch der Nähmaschine aufgelegt, und hierauf der Drückerfuss durch Betätigung des Hebels 45 niedergedrückt. Nunmehr wird der Griffbügel 16 ergriffen und der Gehäusewagen auf der Unterlage derart verschoben, dass das Triebrad 8 und die Stützrollen 73 sich drehen. Die Stichbildungs- und Stofführungsmechanismen, die durch bereits erläuterte Organe mit dem Triebrade 8 der Maschine gekuppelt sind, werden sohin durch das Verschieben des Gehäusewagens awanglaufig in Bewegung gesetzt und führen die für das Nähen erforderlichen Bewegungen selbsttätig aus.
Das Maschinengehäuse wie auch der Griffbügel werden, um die ganze Maschine möglichst leicht zu halten, aus Aluminium oder anderen leichten Legierungen hergestellt.

The connecting rod 51 is articulated by means of the bolt 53 on a sliding block 52 which is guided in the box-shaped front wall of the housing part 3 and serves as a carrier for the needle bar 63. The front wall of the box 23 has a slot 56 through which the yarn tensioner 57 protrudes. A perforation 58 is provided on the tensioning arm, through which the yarn running off the bobbin is passed. On the upper part of the front wall 23 there is a projection 59 on which the slip-on spindle 60 carrying the thread bobbin is fastened.
In order to safely store the bobbin of thread on the spindle 60, a leaf spring 62 is attached to the upper part of the box (Fig. 3), the end of which rests loosely on the bobbin spindle: the needle bar 63 is at its lower end by a collar 65 reinforced, in which an adjusting screw 66 is screwed in order to fix the needle 68.
The workbench of the machine is formed by the platform 69, which is connected at 70 to the rear wall 13 of the housing part 3. On the underside of this platform fork arms 71 are cast, in each of which a support wheel 72 provided with a rubber tire 73 is mounted. In addition, two supports 75, provided with ball bearings, are arranged on the underside of the platform, in which the shaft 78 is supported. On the rear end of the shaft a drive wheel 79 which is in engagement with the drive wheel 8 of the machine is keyed, while the shuttle carrier is attached to the front end of this shaft.
On the workbench 69, an angle 99 is adjustably fastened by means of the screw 100, which is used in a known manner as a material stop when sewing parts and the like. A sturdy handlebar jf5, 16 is attached to the housing part 3, with the aid of which the machine housing can be moved on the wheels 8 and 73. The housing parts 2 and 3 are held together by the flanges 97 (FIG. 1) screwed together by means of the screws 98.
The mode of operation of the machine is as follows: First, the workpieces are placed in double or multiple layers on the work table of the sewing machine, and the presser foot is then depressed by actuating the lever 45. The handle 16 is now gripped and the housing carriage is moved on the base in such a way that the drive wheel 8 and the support rollers 73 rotate. The stitch formation and fabric guiding mechanisms, which are coupled to the drive wheel 8 of the machine by the organs already explained, are thus set in motion by moving the housing carriage and automatically perform the movements required for sewing.
The machine housing and the handle are made of aluminum or other light alloys in order to keep the whole machine as light as possible.
