Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnung -2-No. 390 232 The invention relates to a differential for the one drive axle of a vehicle with two driven axles, in which the two half shafts leading to the wheels are driven via a fluid friction clutch. In known differential gears of this type (EP-A-0 0068 309, DE-OS 3145 279), the fluid friction clutch is provided instead of the usual differential bevel gears. The housing of the fluid friction clutch, which is designed as a multi-plate clutch and is filled with viscous liquid, is connected to a ring gear for the drive and serves as a carrier for the outer disks, while the inner disks each sit half on the two half shafts that represent the output. With this arrangement, only differences in speed can occur in the fluid friction clutch between the inner and outer plates, which are the same size as the differential speeds of the wheels of the two drive axles. Since this differential speed between the wheels of the front and rear drive axles is relatively low, the fluid friction clutch has to be dimensioned correspondingly large in order to transmit a torque which is determined on the basis of the various vehicle parameters. The transmissible torque of a fluid friction clutch depends largely on the speed difference between the two clutch parts, that is, between the inner and outer plates. However, there is often not enough space for a large-sized fluid friction clutch. The invention is therefore based on the object of improving the differential gear described at the outset in such a way that sufficiency is found with smaller overall dimensions. The invention solves this problem by two identical coaxial planetary gears with a common planet gear carrier connected to the other vehicle axle and a downstream fluid friction clutch, the sun gears of the planetary gears being connected to the half shafts and one of the two coupling parts of the fluid friction clutches, the other coupling parts of which are connected to the two Hollow wheels are firmly connected. If slip differences occur on the wheels of the two drive axles in this embodiment, these are increased by the two planetary gears connected upstream of the fluid friction clutches in accordance with the transmission ratio of these gears. With a given torque to be transmitted, the entire differential gear can be given a smaller design due to the reduction in the dimensions of the fluid friction clutches made possible by the increase in the speed difference, or a higher torque yield can be achieved for a given size of the fluid friction clutches. The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of a differential gear in the diagram. The drive axle, for which the differential gear according to the invention is intended, is driven by a cardan shaft (1) from the other drive axle. The ring gear (2) of an angular drive (2), (3) is firmly connected to a housing (4) which in turn forms the common planet carrier (5) of two identical planetary gears (6), (6a) of the same axis. The sun gears (7), (7a) of the two planetary gears (6), (6a) are connected to the half shafts (8), (8a) leading to the vehicle wheels and each carry the inner plates (9), (9a) of the planetary gears (6), (6a) downstream fluid friction clutch (10), (10a). The outer plates (12), (12a) assigned to the housing (11), (11a) filled with viscous liquid are in contact with the hollow wheels (13), (13a) of the planetary gears (6), (6a) via the housing (11) non-rotatable »'connection. PATENT REQUIREMENT differential gear for the one drive axle of a vehicle with two driven axles, in which the two half shafts leading to the wheels are driven via a fluid friction clutch, characterized by two identical planetary gearboxes (6, 6a) with the same planetary gear carrier (5 ) and a downstream fluid friction clutch (10,10a), the sun gears (7,7a) of the two planetary gears (6, 6a) with the half shafts (8, 8a) and one (9, 9a) of the two coupling parts (9, 9a , 12, 12a) of the fluid friction clutches (10, 10a) are connected, the other coupling parts (12, 12a) of which are connected to the two hollow wheels (13, 13a) in a rotationally fixed connection.
