Neu   gegenüber   den bisher bekannt   gewordenen Automatengehäusen ist   hier die Anordnung der drehbaren Erdkugel, wodurch der Automat   gleichzeitig belehrend wirkt, somit   der Gebrauchswert des Automaten erhöht wird. Durch diese   Neuanordnung wird der Passant   veranlasst, Tages-   neuigkeiten auf   der öffentlich ausgestellten Erdkugel zu verfolgen und der Schüler angeregt,   Wissenswertes   aufzusuchen. 



     Die Erdkugel   steht mit dem Werk des Automaten derart in Verbindung, dass sie gleichzeitig beim Betätigen des Automaten um ihre Achse gedreht wird. 



   Zwei   Ausführungsmöglichkeiten   dieser Verbindung zeigen die Fig. 2 und 3. In Fig. 2 ist die Achse 1 der Erdkugel drehbar gelagert und mit einem Zahnrad 2 versehen, in welches eine Zahnstange 3 eingreift. Letztere steht wiederum in Verbindung mit dem Automatenschieber   4   und wird somit beim Herausziehen dieses   Schiebers mitbcwegt.   Durch den Zahneingriff wird dadurch aber gleichzeitig die Achse   1   der Erdkugel, mithin diese selbst, gedreht. 



   In Fig. 3 steht die drehbar gelagerte Erdkugelachse 1 durch ein Zahnrad 2 mit einem ebenfalls

What is new here compared to the previously known machine housings is the arrangement of the rotatable globe, whereby the machine also has an instructive effect, thus increasing the value of the machine in use. This rearrangement prompts the passer-by to follow the daily news on the publicly exhibited globe and encourages the pupil to look up interesting information.



     The globe is connected to the work of the machine in such a way that it is rotated around its axis when the machine is operated.



   Two possible embodiments of this connection are shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. In FIG. 2, the axis 1 of the globe is rotatably mounted and provided with a gear wheel 2 in which a toothed rack 3 engages. The latter is in turn connected to the machine slide 4 and is thus moved along when this slide is pulled out. Due to the meshing of the teeth, the axis 1 of the globe, and consequently this itself, is rotated at the same time.
