Es ist bekannt, dass die Wirkung des Spülwassers eine desto intensivere ist, je schmäler innerhalb gewisser Grenzen der dem Spülwasser gebotene Austrittsschlitz gehalten wird. Bei den bisher gebräuchlichen Klosettschalen ist die Spülleiste aus dem Materiale der Schale selbst hergestellt, und demgemäss muss die Bestimmung der Breite des Spülschlitzes unter Rücksichtnahme auf den Umstand erfolgen, dass derselbe beim Glasurbrennen durch die flüssige Glasurmasse nicht verlegt werde ; ebenso muss auch mit der Möglichkeit eines allerdings in unbedeutendem Masse stattfindenden Verziehen der den Schlitz bildenden Spt1lleiste gerechnet werden.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Einrichtung, welche bezweckt, die

abhängig zu machen und lediglich den Erfordernissen der Spülung selbst anpassen zu können. Dies geschieht im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung dadurch, dass, wie aus Fig. 1 und 2 der Zeichnung ersichtlich, die Spülloiste durch ein besonderes Stück, beispielsweise durch einen an der Flansche d des Verbindungsstutzens b befestigten Metallschirm a gebildet wird, so dass die Breite des Spülschlitze n ganz nach Bedürfnis der Zwischenlage eines segmentförmigen Dichtungsscheibchens h und eventuell durch kleine örtliche Erhebungen f ein- gestellt werden kann, die an der Rückseite des Schirmes a angeordnet werden.
Durch die beschriebene Anordnung ist es möglich, ohne Verringerung der Spülwirkung die zu einer Spülung nötige Wassermenge erheblich zu reduzieren, so dass etwa mit 2 bis 3 Fünftel der bisherigen Menge das Auslangen gefunden werden kann.
Diese Einrichtung bietet überdies auch den Vorteil, dass der Anschluss der Spülleitung c an die Schale m durch eine normale Holiänderverschraubung erfolgen kann und demgemäss das mit vielen Unzukömmlichkeiten verbundene Einkitten der Leitung c in die Schalen stutzen vermieden wird.
