Abstract

In an annular valve with a valve plate 5 comprising individual concentric annular plates 7 and a supporting plate 8 which is spring-loaded jointly from the direction of the absorber 4 and rests on all the annular plates 7, the annular plates 7 are supported on the supporting plate 8 by means of spring elements 11 independent of the springing of the valve plate 5. On the one hand, this thus provides guidance and centring of the annular plates 7 during the lifting movement and, on the other hand, provides double springing of the annular plates 7, this being advantageous particularly with regard to nonuniform wear on the sealing surfaces or adhesion or sticking of the supporting plate 8 to the absorber 4. <IMAGE>

Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

   The invention relates to a Rmgventil, especially for compressors, with a valve seat, which has annularly arranged through channels for the controlled medium, a catcher, which has outflow channels and is arranged at a distance above the valve seat, and with a valve plate arranged between the catcher and the valve seat, which has individual ring plates arranged above the through-channels of the valve seat and a support plate which rests spring-loaded on the ring plate and is centered with respect to the valve seat, and the ring plates are guided relative to the valve seat.

   Such valves are for example from EP-345. 245 A1 known and in particular bel compressors or compressors for automatic control of the gas exchange in use. The essential functions of the valve plate are divided on the one hand on the support plate and on the other hand on the individual ring plate. so that these two elements can be optimized according to the function they perform. The individually designed ring plate, which is sufficiently soft or

   Resilience and elasticity can be carried out to ensure a tight interaction with the associated counter surfaces on the valve seat, enable the safe and reliable sealing of the through channels of the valve seat, whereas the support plate, which can be made relatively rigid, for the most uniform application and distribution of the spring forces worries.

   For the radial guidance or centering of the individual ring plate relative to the through-channels of the valve seat, either conical sealing surfaces with corresponding counter surfaces are attached to the ring plate in the known arrangement mentioned, or centering projections or groove-shaped depressions in which the ring plate is inserted, or with whom they work. In this way, even with larger strokes or newly formed cooperating sealing surfaces, there is no fear of canting or displacements of the ring plate which would impair the function of the valve.

   Furthermore, from DE-89 947 C, for example, a valve of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is designed as a water pump valve, is known, in which three loose individual springs are sprung separately but are supported against a multi-part support plate. The guidance of the ring plate is at least partially combined with the springing of the valve plate, which in turn leads to the problems mentioned above.

   The object of the present invention is to develop an Rmg valve of the type mentioned in the introduction,
 EMI1.1
 is guaranteed.

   This is achieved according to the invention in a ring valve of the type mentioned in that the ring plate is guided by means of spring elements independent of the springing of the valve plate and centered on the seat plate common to all ring plates, the spring elements acting on the ring plate in a manner known per se. Thus, to enable rapid opening of the valve, the spring-loaded and additional inert mass-bearing common support plate can be arranged at a certain distance given by the arrangement of the additional spring elements above the individual ring plate, without any of the possibilities for guiding or

   Centering of the individual ring plate is lost and without having to put up with the fact that the permissible installation position of the ring valve would be limited to a horizontally lying ring plate, since freely lying ring plate would otherwise slip or fall out relative to the through-channels in the valve seat.

   The design and arrangement of the independent spring elements can be freely selected within wide limits, which allows a wide range of options for grading the spring action in comparison with the common springing of all the ring plates via the support plate. Usually, a selection is made for this additional springing of the separate ring plate in such a way that when the valve is opened, each ring plate is first raised against the action of the lighter additional springing until it rests against the support plate and only then is the common springing over the Support plate for braking the entire valve plate is effective.

   According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the ring plate and the support plate are provided on the opposite surfaces with ring grooves, in which the spring elements, which are designed in a manner known per se as corrugated ring springs, lie. With regard to the design and arrangement of these corrugated ring springs, which are known per se, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,786,834 A, the procedure here can be such that, in normal operation, the corrugated ring springs are correspondingly compressed in the surfaces of the ring plates or support plate surfaces lying directly on top of one another trained closed ring grooves and thus only have a guiding function for the individual ring plate.

   In the event of uneven ring plate wear or when the support plate is clamped or glued to the catcher, however, the additional spring force of the respective wave spring becomes noticeable. The overall height of the corrugated ring springs can also be selected so that, in the event that the support plate jams, the corrugated ring spring fulfills the guiding task even with the greatest stroke

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 can be. In order to ensure that the ring plate can be used on both sides, the ring grooves can be provided in the ring plate on both sides.

   In order to prevent the ring plate from possibly becoming stuck to the support plate, the latter, in a further embodiment of the invention, has relief bores at the base of the ring grooves, at least one of which is to be provided per ring plate size.

   In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the ring plate on the side facing the support plate guide areas, z. B. groove-like recesses or elevations, on which the spring elements are supported. These guide areas can be adjusted very easily to the type and arrangement of the independent spring elements - for example, individual recesses or elevations are possible for individual coil springs, which ensure that the individual ring plates are centered and secured against rotation.

   According to a particularly preferred further embodiment of the invention, the spring elements can be formed by spring legs bent out of the support plate. These can be punched out or cut out with a laser, for example. which simplifies the manufacture of precisely defined additional independent spring elements.

   The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of the exemplary embodiments shown schematically in the drawing. 1 and 2 show detail sections through embodiments of ring valves in the area of a ring plate corresponding to the prior art known or based on this, FIG. 3 shows a corresponding detail section through a ring valve designed according to the invention, FIG. 4 shows a detail from FIG. 3 in a section along the line IV-
 EMI2.1
 6 shows a top view of a support plate of a ring valve according to the invention, with independent spring elements of different designs on the left and right, and FIG. 7 shows a further exemplary embodiment of an inventive ring valve in axial section.

   The ring valves in all the versions shown have an annularly arranged through-channels 1 for the controlled medium having valve seat 2, an outflow channels 3 having, above the valve seat 2 spacer catcher 4 and a valve plate 5 between catcher 4 and valve seat 2, which on only schematically indicated manner by means of springs 6 from the catcher 4 is spring-loaded.

   The valve plate 5 has individual ring plates 7 arranged above the through-channels 1 of the valve seat 2 and a support plate 8 which is centered on the valve seat 2 and which is located jointly on all ring plates 7 (which are arranged concentrically in a manner shown in FIGS. 5 and 7) is usually made of relatively hard material, such as steel in particular, and distributes the force of the springs 6 evenly over all ring plates 7, usually made of a rather soft material, such as plastic in particular, so that they seal the through-channels 1 to the conical ones here Sealing surfaces 9 are pressed. However, these sealing surfaces 9 could of course also have a suitable other shape within the scope of the invention and, in particular, also be flat.

   1 shows a possible arrangement of the valve rings, these being without any guidance during the lifting movement and being centered only in the closed position by the conical shape of the sealing surfaces 9. The ring plate 7, which is freely displaceable relative to the support plate 8 when the valve is open, can thus be displaced by a maximum amount of S at a maximum stroke H. The ring valve must therefore be designed overall so that at a maximum stroke H the height t2 is less than the thickness d of the ring plate, since otherwise the ring plate would be clamped under certain circumstances and would be prevented from closing or functioning properly.

   It is of course a disadvantage here that the valve lift H - even if this would be possible for operational reasons - cannot be increased beyond a design dimension.

   According to FIG. 2, a representation which is essentially the same as that of FIG. 1 and which is known or at least derived from the prior art mentioned at the outset is shown.

  The support plate 8 is here provided in the area of interaction with the ring plate 7 circumferential groove 10, which have a depth f and in which the ring plate 7 are inserted. The gap S1, which limits the possible radial relative movement between the support plate 8 and the ring plate 7, can be formed as required. Since the annular plate 7 is pressed into the annular groove 10 on the one hand by the inflow pressure and on the other hand by the force of the springs 6, they cannot fall out of the annular grooves 10 and are also guided during the lifting movement. The maximum valve stroke H can thus be determined independently of the other valve geometry, in particular the dimension tz discussed and entered for FIG. 1 at the maximum stroke H can be greater than the ring thickness d.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   Apart from the simple possibility shown in FIG. 2 for centering the ring plate 7 relative to the common support plate 8 and thus to the valve seat 2, there are of course also other correspondingly simple possibilities — in a modified manner the support plate 8 could have circumferential elevations or the like which the correspondingly turned or drilled ring plate could be plugged on, which offers certain advantages, since the lateral chamfers or bevels of the ring plate, which serve as the sealing surface on the lower side of the ring plate in the illustration, cannot be damaged.

   Furthermore, designs are also conceivable in which fixing pins or the like, which protrude through the support plate 8 and protrude into corresponding bores in the ring plate 7, can be provided.

   3 and 4 are now the ring plate 7, of which only one is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, by means of the springing of the valve plate 5, which is no longer shown here, a total of independent spring elements 11 on the Support plate 8 supported.

  The ring plate 7 and the support plate 8 are provided on the opposite surfaces with ring grooves 10 ', in which the additional spring elements 11 formed here as concentric wave springs 12, with which the ring plate 7 are centered relative to the common support plate 8. The maximum radial displacement possibility s is determined with the corresponding radial air between the groove diameters and the corrugated ring springs 12. The total height is chosen such that, in the event that the support plate 8 is jammed, even the largest stroke is guided or centered for the individual ring plate 7, so that the unloaded height of the wave springs 12 is at least equal to the valve stroke H plus twice the groove depth must be t.

   The material thickness of the corrugated ring spring 12 itself is less than twice the groove depth t
Apart from the active guidance of the ring plate 7 relative to the support plate 8 given by the corrugated springs 12, the advantage is also given in this way that, in the event of uneven wear of the ring plate, each of these plates by itself due to the independent pretensioning force of the corrugated ring spring 12 against the valve seat 2 or the sealing surfaces 9 is pressed. In the undisturbed normal operation of the ring valve, the corrugated ring springs 12 have only a guiding function, the contact surfaces of the ring plate and the support plate abutting one another. The independent additional spring force of the corrugated ring springs 12 is noticeable only when the ring plate is worn unevenly, or when the support plate 8 is clamped or glued to the catcher (not shown here).

   As can be seen from FIG. 3, the ring grooves 10 ′ can be provided on both sides of the ring plate 7 in order to make it usable on both sides. In order to prevent the individual ring plate 7 from possibly becoming stuck to the support plate 8, at least one relief bore 13 is provided for each ring plate 7 at the base of the annular groove 10 ′ of the support plate 8.

   Apart from the illustrated and discussed design of the corrugated ring springs 12, these could of course also be designed such that a certain clearance is bridged between the ring plate 7 resting on the sealing surfaces 9 when the valve is closed and the support plate 8, so that the ring plates during the opening movement 7 are first raised against the lower spring force of the spring elements 11 or corrugated ring springs bel initially standing support plate 8. Only after the ring plate 7 has braked against the support plate 8 after the corrugated ring springs 12 have been braked does the entire valve plate 5 then move in the direction of the catcher against the action of the springing, not shown here.

  This allows the valve to be opened easily while at the same time safely and effectively braking the opening movement of the entire valve plate.

   According to FIGS. 5 to 7, the independent spring elements 11 between the support plate 8 and the ring plate 7 are formed directly by spring legs 14 bent out of the support plate 8, which in turn are formed here as guide grooves 10 ′ on the side of the ring plate 7 facing the support plate 8 support, which in turn gives the described advantages with regard to the guidance or centering of the individual ring plates 7 also during the lifting movement and with regard to the independent additional springing of the ring plate 7. 5 and 7 differ essentially only in that, according to FIG. 7, no ring grooves 10 'are provided in the ring plate 7 - whether the spring legs 14 simply lie on the top of the ring plate 7 for guiding or

   Centering of the ring plate 7 is sufficient, or whether, for example, corresponding elevations or recesses which cooperate with the ends of the spring legs 14 are to be provided at the location of the support of the spring legs 14 can easily be determined or decided in the individual case.

   5 and 7, for the sake of completeness, reference should also be made to the central screw 15, which is screwed into the catcher 4 and the valve seat 2, respectively. Is and by means of a nut 16 holds the entire ring valve together. In both cases, a spacer 17 is inserted between the catcher 4 and the valve seat 2, which leads the valve plate 5 or the support plate on a recess 18

 so that your lifting movement can execute in the axial direction. The actual valve springs are again indicated and designated 6.

   Finally, in FIG. 6, the formation of spring legs 14 bent out of the support plate 8 can be seen in two variants. On the left-hand side, one-sided tongues made by laser cutting can be seen, which are simple to manufacture, but which, under certain circumstances, cause the individual ring plate which is spring-loaded therewith to keep turning. In order to prevent this, the spring legs 14, as shown on the right-hand side, can also be designed as double tongues pointing in both directions, which thus also prevent the ring plate 7, which is not shown here, from rotating.
