House post box with Atarm device.
The subject matter of the present invention is an in-house mailbox which is set up in such a way that the parties living on the floors are automatically informed of this by a short signal when the letter is thrown into the box.
In the case of the mailboxes with alarm devices that have been in use up to now, the bell rang as long as the letter was in the mailbox, which was not only a serious nuisance, but also led to the exhaustion of the elements that feed the usually electric bell device due to the long power circuit. In contrast to this, the addressee only receives a call signal from the alarm device according to the present invention, which lasts as long as the letter needs to slide down along a plate of a balance beam designed as an inclined plane, since the current for operating the bell is only closed during this time is.
The in-house mailbox 1 consists of a number of compartments 2 arranged next to and one above the other. On the door of each compartment there is a horizontal gap 3 through which the letter is thrown into the compartment, falling onto an inclined plate 4 which at one end a balance beam 5 is attached, which in the unloaded state is kept in equilibrium by a counterweight 6 pushed on at the other end. In this state, a pin 7 attached to the balance beam is located directly above a vessel 8 filled with mercury.
The falling letter presses the balance beam 5 down, whereby the pen dips into the mercury and closes a circuit which causes a bell to sound in the corresponding apartment and an indicator with any inscription to fall down, whereby the party notifies the presence of a letter becomes. The current is interrupted as soon as the letter has left the inclined plate 4, since the counterweight 6 then lifts the pin 7 out of the mercury bowl.
