Dabei zeigen

Fig. 3 ein Diagramm und
Fig. 4 eine Steuerelektronik.
Gleiche Bezugszeichen bedeuten in allen Figuren gleiche Einzelheiten.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a method for adapting a burner-heated heater according to the preamble of claim 1.
In the case of burner-heated heaters with fan-assisted exhaust gas routing, the length of the connected air exhaust system has a significant influence on the block air ratio and thus on the condensation and ignition behavior of the heater. Therefore, the heater must be adapted to the air exhaust system during installation. Previously, the adjustment was made by inserting panels in the air exhaust system, or a slide was set accordingly in this system.
However, this has the disadvantage that the criteria necessary for safe operation can be met, but the operation itself cannot be optimally managed through the panels, since additional resistances are built into the exhaust gas air system.
In addition, the adjustment process represents an installation effort that involves considerable chains of errors.
A heating device with an exhaust gas fan has become known from EP 36 236 A1, and there is no explanation as to how the different resistances are incorporated into the blower control due to the unknown lengths of the fresh air and exhaust gas line.
In addition, DE 43 34 625 A1 discloses a heater with a fan on the supply air side, in which the maximum and / or minimum output of the heater is to be kept constant. A pneumatic gas-air combination control is provided, the setpoint output of the heater predetermined by a temperature controller being set via an air volume flow generated by a speed-controlled fan motor.
The aim of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages described at the outset and to provide a method of the type mentioned at the outset in which the installation of additional resistors in the air exhaust system can be dispensed with.
According to the invention, this is achieved in a method of the type mentioned at the outset by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The proposed method steps make it possible to adapt the operating characteristics to the respective resistance conditions of the air exhaust system of the heater. This enables optimal operation of each heating device regardless of the design of the air exhaust system. This also ensures that the gas supply to the burner of the heater is only possible when the intended passage through the heating device is ensured by the fan.
The first dependent claim specifies how the correction factor is expediently determined, with which the method can then be carried out particularly easily. The second dependent claim provides a comprehensible teaching of how to get from a standard speed to the operating speed of the fan when the installation conditions of the device have been measured.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Show
Fig. 1 shows schematically a fan-assisted heating device and
2a to 2c schematically different embodiments of an air exhaust system for a heating device according to FIG. 1st
Fig. 3 is a diagram and
Fig. 4 control electronics.
The same reference numerals mean the same details in all figures.
The heating device 23 according to FIG. 1 has a burner 16 which is arranged in a chamber 25, which via a fresh air supply 20 which coaxially surrounds an exhaust gas duct 11, which is connected to the surroundings. This burner acts on a heat exchanger 13 which is connected to a radiator arrangement via a return line 17 and a flow line 15.
An exhaust gas hood 12 is arranged above the heat exchanger 13 and is connected to the exhaust gas duct 11.
The burner 16 can be connected to a gas supply 19 via a gas line 10 and a gas control device 18. The gas control device 18 is provided with a modulation magnet 9, which ensures the corresponding drive.
This modulation magnet 9 is controlled by control electronics 7, which is connected to the modulation magnet 9 via a control line 9.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A blower 3 is arranged in the exhaust gas duct 11, the speed of which is monitored by a Hall sensor 2. This Hall sensor 2 is connected to the control electronics 7 via a signal line 5.
The control electronics 7 is connected via a control line 6 to a speed controller 22, which in turn is connected to the blower 3 via voltage supply lines 21.
A pressure measuring point 14 is arranged in the fresh air supply 20 and is connected to a pressure switch 1 which switches when a certain pressure is reached. The dynamic pressure in the fresh air supply 20 is detected via the pressure measuring point 14, which can be formed by a pitot tube. The pressure switch 1 is connected to the control electronics 7 via a signal line 4.
The standard characteristic curve 30 - speed as a function of the burner output Q is determined from the air ratio requirements of the device with regard to condensation behavior, freedom from pollutants and flame stability under standard conditions in laboratory tests and stored as table 41 in the control electronics 7. A typical characteristic curve is shown in FIG. 3. This standard characteristic curve 30 represents the course in which optimum emission values result under standard installation conditions. To determine this, the burner is put into operation and the load is varied over the entire modulation range. The speed is then determined at each operating point, at which the CO and NOx emissions reach the required values, over-ignition is still guaranteed and, on the other hand, no condensate is yet generated in the exhaust pipe.
If the installation conditions with regard to exhaust gas routing deviate from the standard conditions, the changed resistances make other speeds necessary in order to maintain the same air ratio. A measure of this deviation is the speed at which the pressure switch point is reached. The operating characteristic curve is thus calculated from the standard characteristic curve by multiplying by the ratio of the speed at the pressure switch point to the speed at the pressure switch point under standard conditions.
3 shows typical characteristics, the standard characteristic 30 correlating with the installation according to FIG. 2a, the operating characteristic 31 with FIG. 2b and the operating characteristic 32 with FIG. 2c.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2a to 2c, the heating device 23 can be provided with differently designed air exhaust gas systems 24, which are formed by the fresh air supply 20 and an exhaust gas duct 11 enclosed by this, as well as the blower 3. The air exhaust system 24 can thus be angled (Fig. 2a, 2b) or straight (Fig. 2c). In addition, the length of the air exhaust system 24 can vary considerably (FIGS. 2a, 2b), which results in considerable differences with regard to the flow resistance of the air exhaust system 24.
The structure of the electronics 7 is shown in detail in FIG. 4. In this control electronics, a first table i = f (Q) is provided, in which the dependence of the output of the burner in kW as a function of the current flow through the modulation magnet 9 is shown. This means that a certain burner output in kW is assigned to each current value in amperes through the modulation magnet 9. There is also a second table n = f (Q) 41, in which the assignment of the fan speeds in 1 / min is assigned as a function of the same burner output. This means that a certain fan speed must be available to guarantee a certain burner output. If the speed falls below a certain burner output, the combustion is incomplete; if it is exceeded, the efficiency drops.
A third table 42 with the function Q = f (T) is also provided and in it the assignment is stored which results for the burner output when it is to be started up according to the control deviation.
The control deviation is defined for the deviation of the actual flow temperature, measured by the temperature sensor 34 to the set target value, which is given to the evaluation electronics 7 via the adjuster 43. This adjuster can be an outside temperature sensor or a fixed value. The control electronics 7 also contains a microprocessor which has access to all tables via data lines 45, 46 and 47. The microprocessor is also connected to the actual value transmitter with all actual values.
The diagram of FIG. 3 shows the dependency of the air ratio, that is the deviation of the actual air throughput from the target air throughput for the stoichiometry of the combustion in relation to the burner output Q. This results in three curves 30, 31 and 32, which form approximately straight lines. When the device is started up for the first time with an air / exhaust duct 24 of unknown length
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
or an unknown pneumatic resistance of this line, the following occurs. The control electronics 7 first give a start command to start the fan of the blower 3. For this purpose, the speed controller 22 is activated via the line 6, which also leads the motor of the blower 3, not shown, via line 21 Electricity supplied.
The fan 3 starts up and a speed is recorded via the Hall sensor 2 and the controller is reported back via line 5 as the actual value. If the speed continues to increase, the dynamic pressure is reached at a certain air throughput in the supply air line 20, so that the pressure cell 1 switches through. This is reported back via line 4 to the control electronics 7. At the same time, the associated speed value is communicated to controller 22 via Hall sensor 2 in line 5. 3 shows the allocation of the fan speed and the air throughput generated by it with a known flow resistance in the air / exhaust gas path. This air flow rate is then assigned to the burner output via table 41. 3, however, presupposes a certain pneumatic resistance in the air / exhaust gas path of the heater.
This can be chosen arbitrarily. The middle curve 30 results first for this resistance. From this curve 30 one can read how high the air throughput is at a certain speed of the fan with the chosen pneumatic resistance.
The boundary characteristics 31 and 32 determine the highest or lowest speed, so that safe burner operation is possible within the field between these boundary characteristics. Too much excess air would result in the flames rising and thus incomplete combustion, and too little air flow would also result in incomplete combustion with carbon monoxide components.
To adapt the heating device 23 to its air exhaust system 24, the speed of the blower 3, starting from a starting speed at which the air exhaust system 24 is of the shortest length and therefore has the lowest resistance, is the switching point when the device is started for the first time and subsequently pressure switch is not reached, slowly increase until pressure switch 1 switches. In order to largely rule out temperature influences and avoid sacrificing comfort, new measurements are only carried out in heating mode after a defined minimum burner downtime.
A correction factor is determined from the speed at the switching point of the pressure switch 1, with which operating characteristics are calculated from the standard characteristics stored in the control electronics 7.
The control of the modulation magnet 9 and thus the gas supply to the burner 16 and the speed of the fan 3 is controlled by the control electronics according to these operating characteristics.
In this way, optimal operation of the heating device 23 is possible under the respective conditions determined by the air exhaust system 24
PATENT CLAIMS:
1.
