Verfahren zur Ausscheidung von Nichtzucker aus Zuckerlösungen.
Nachdem der Robsaft mit irgend einem geeigneten Schwermetallsulfate wie z. B. Ferrooder Zinksulfat auf bekannte Art behandelt oder durch Kalken und Saturationen mit Kohlensäure in üblicher Weise gereinigt wurde, wird auf die in der Art gereinigte Zuckerlösung, Metatlsulndo unter den angegebenen näheren Umständen einwirken gelassen, um die gebundenen Oxide der Schwermetalle, welche in der Zuckerlösung aufgelöst zurückbleiben und die Zuckerlösungen verunreinigen, in unlösliche Metallsulfide zu überführen, und ihre Ausscheidung samt organischen Nichtzuckerstoffen durch Filtration zu erzielen.
Dies geschieht entweder durch den Zusatz eines geeigneten Schwefelantimonsalzes in Gegenwart von Kalkhydrat in beliebige Gemische mit löslichen Metallsulfiden, wie z. B. Schwefelkalzium oder Magnesiumsulfid oder aber durch das Vermischen irgend eines reaktionsfähigen Mctallsulfides beziehungsweise Metallpolysulfides iu Gegenwart von Kalziumhydroxyd und Saturation mit Kohlensäure oder schwefeliger Säure und darauffolgendem Aufwärmen auf 85 - 9 50 C und Abfiltrieren.
Die Behandlung der nach dem obgenannten bekannten Verfahren gereinigten Säfte mit Metallsulfiden bewirkt die Ausscheidung weiterer wesentlicher Menge von Nichtzuckerstoffen, mithin eine bedeutende Erhöhung des Reinheitsquotienten.
