EMI1.1
Bottle closures are known in which a protective sleeve is screwed onto the plate carrying the bottle cork, the purpose of which is to protect both the cork and the bottle mouth from contamination.
According to the present invention, the protective sleeve, which is conical in shape or has a conical part, is placed on the stopper or the plate carrying the stopper (stopper carrier) so that it adheres to the stopper or stopper carrier by sheer friction. The advantage of the subject matter of the invention lies in the simplicity and therefore cheapness of manufacture as well as in the usability of the sleeve for different sized plugs.
In the drawing, three different embodiments of the protective sleeve are shown partly in vertical section and partly in view in FIGS. 1-3.
According to the embodiment illustrated in Fig. 1, a protective cap 2 is placed over the stopper 1, which closes the bottle neck 3 and is advantageously provided with a cover plate 4 in a known manner, which covers the bottle neck and thus prevents dust or other impurities from penetrating the stopper and the bottle neck prevented. According to the present invention, this protective sleeve has a conical shape so that it can be pulled onto the plug without further fastening means. In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the sleeve-shaped protective cap 2 has a conical part 5 with which it fits onto the plug 1, respectively. the plug carrier 4 provided with a handle is pulled up, holding it in place by friction.
The protective cap can, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, have a continuously conical shape, or it can be designed following the conical part 5 in such a way that a uniform gap is formed between the cork 1 and the protective cap 2 for the bottle neck (Fig. 3), whereby it is advisable to adapt the length of the protective cap to the length of the bottle neck so that it extends up to the bottle body and rests on it, whereby a reliable protection against contamination is created.
