 EMI1.1

The present invention relates to a flap weir which can be moved across the flaps in the shortest possible time, with little operating personnel and weak machines, without having to remove the flaps
 EMI1.2

The invention consists in that a framework is arranged transversely to the direction of flow. which consists of pedestals rotatably attached to the river bed and a connecting bridge connecting the upper ends of the same and connected to these by means of joints,
 EMI1.3
axes are rotatable and the pins of these axes are hinged to the sides of the flaps to allow the weir to be folded down when the blinds are opened in the transverse direction of the watercourse.

The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example, and shows: FIG. 1, in a schematic representation, a view of the erected weir with closed
 EMI1.4

The framework of the weir consists of trestle stands o and a connecting web b. The pedestals are rotatably attached to the armored river bed c transversely to the direction of the current.
 EMI1.5
Joints connected to the connecting web b. Between the trestle stands, flaps d arranged in the manner of a louvre are fastened rotatably about their horizontal central axes by means of axle journals e mounted in the trestle stands.

These stub axles are on the sides of the flaps
 EMI1.6

The trestle stands are expediently formed by a framework, the nodes of which coincide with the attachment points (journal bearings) of the shooters, in order to give the device increased strength and resistance. The distance between the trestle stands depends on the water pressure, i.e. on the permissible length of the flaps, and is best made equal to the height of the trestle stands.
 EMI1.7

The flaps of the weir can be made of wood, angular iron frames with corrugated iron lining, iron panels with stiffening ribs or the like. Each flap can be opened or opened independently of the others from the web. getting closed.

For this purpose, for example, a chain wheel 9 can be keyed onto one or both axle journals of each individual flap, over which a chain t or the like is placed, which is placed in the stand or along it

 EMI2.1

It is advantageous to balance the weir weight with counterweights when setting up and laying down. Since the load is different in the different phases of setting up or laying down, the counterweights k (Fig. 1, 2), depending on the work to be done, are slidingly arranged on a surface l with a variable angle of inclination. As a result, setting up and moving the weir only requires relatively weak machines. The devices not shown in the drawing for actuating the weir can be of any type.

In order to enable the flaps to be placed on the uprights when the weir frameworks are folded down with horizontally positioned flaps, the flap sides are provided with recesses 1n (Fig. 3) corresponding to the thickness of the uprights and the hinge of the stub axles e away from the uprights by half the flap thickness m arranged. The recesses m and the joints between the flap and stand are sealed watertight by any suitable means; z.

   B. could bezw on the uprights on the upstream side in dei H. ïhe every joint between two flaps. At the level of the upper edge of the top flap, strips of iron can be rotated by 450, which, when the flaps are vertical, covering the flap and side and stand edges, are pressed by the water pressure, but are lifted off when the flaps are opened by the lower edge of the flap grinds along the strip. The same purpose could of course also be achieved by a suitable arrangement of spring strips, of stops, the latter when closed, ie. H. vertically standing flaps also serve to relieve the axle journals e, or can be achieved by other known means.

The horizontal joints of the flaps can also be closed by stops or other suitable means.

To protect the weir, a concrete step in the height of more than half a Kiappenbroite is arranged upstream of the stands. No sediment can accumulate downstream of this stage.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Retractable flap weir with one arranged across the direction of flow
