Lamp bell made of transparent glass in one piece by pressing.
The present invention relates to open lamp bells made of transparent glass which have been manufactured in one piece by pressing. It has long been known per se to manufacture lamp bells by pressing either as a screen or as a reflector. It is also known to matt these known lamp bells by blowing sand or etching or to cover them with enamel.
The present invention does not consist in the production of transparent glass by pressing and not in the matting of the bells produced in this way, but in the union of a reflector and a screen in such a way that this union of two is sharp! differentiating parts, an upper edge part acting as a reflector and an adjoining lower edge part acting as a screen,
The reflector is supposed to concentrate the light from the open mouth of the bell onto a certain area. The screen part of the bell is intended to show the part of the light that

reflective prisms on the outside or with a reflective metal layer.
The part that acts as a screen is made of transparent glass. which is either matted by acid etching or sandblasting or covered with an enamel layer.
It is already known per se to completely surround the light source with a closed Glashiille made of transparent glass, the lower part of which is matted, and to hang a reflector over the upper, non-matted part, in order to achieve a similar purpose.
Quite apart from the fact that this type of lamp bells is more expensive to manufacture than that of the present invention, the effect of these known lamp bells is also poorer, since there is an undesirable absorption of light due to the double glass layers
EMI1.2
Light rays also have to penetrate the frosted part, whereby, of course, an absorption and consequent weakening of the light rays also occurs.
EMI1.3
the eye is protected against non-shielded rays of light, the reflected light can, but not weakened, reach where it is desired.
EMI1.4
3 shows a bell in section in a conical shape.
The reflective part is labeled A, the part that acts as a screen is labeled B.
