Elektrische Schienenverbindung.

Electrical rail connection.
In electrical railway operation, an electrical connection between the colliding rails is often achieved in that a copper wire bridging the butt joint is placed with its ends bent into eyelets at smooth points on the rail webs and then fastened with screw bolts. With this connection it can happen that when the bolt nuts are tightened, the centers of the particularly heavily loaded wire eyelets are bent more than their edges and the latter consequently move away from the contact surface, i.e. the contact does not cover the entire original contact area between the wire eyelets and rail web produced, rather the contact surface on the rail web is partially exposed.
This not only improves the quality of the

The exposed contact parts are also easily subject to oxidation or other harmful effects.
These drawbacks are counteracted by using the electrical rail connection which forms the subject of the present invention. This is also true
